We're protecting our high streets. From 2026-27 permanently lower tax rates will be introduced for retail, hospitality & leisure (RHL) properties. Plus, for 2025-26, 250,000 RHL properties will receive 40% relief on their bills, up to a cash cap of £110,000 per business.

Yes, I experienced something similar after Colette’s death. I lived by myself but because of Nico I *had to get out of bed, get dressed, leave the house and interact with people. Also, Nico knew I’d changed and her world had changed, so *she changed. She helped in so many ways.

No cartoon this week, I’m afraid. On Sunday morning, on an otherwise uneventful dog walk, I became a walking chew toy for a stray staffie who had taken umbrage to the existence of one of my small dogs. I got in between them, and came off worse for wear.
