@StoolGreenie I think most fans, including myself don't care because it does nothing for them. The idea I've had is that the winner of the NBA Cup gets a ping pong ball in the lottery. So a lottery team gets 1 extra ball, and a non-lottery team gets in there.

I think the NBA's hurdle when it comes to the NBA Cup/making people care is I would assume 99% of the interest in this game is for what it could mean for the actual playoffs, not the NBA Cup
