@Craybay_27 This year's @NHLJets squad is really giving me the same level of satisfaction as the old WHA champs and the Hawerchuk era teams. The best Jets teams had some amazing stars but also had the rest of the roster packed with important skills that the big scorers didn't have.

@Wpgtjross A few weeks ago the TCM movie channel showed Paper Lion, the movie where Alan Alda as writer George Plimpton tries to get thru Lions camp as QB. The real-life Lions of the early 60s in the movie had a winning confidence. Weird to see it now.

@Dejan_Kovacevic Thank you keeping this issue front and center, Dejan! A salary cap/floor would actually give MLB teams relevance in ALL the markets, helping propel the league back towards being the organization which was more profitable and popular than the NFL in the 1960s and 1970s.

This is fine. Major League Baseball absolutely doesn't need a salary cap system, which always includes a floor and expanded revenue sharing. It's perfectly OK for one team to collect $1 billion worth of elite talent at will.

@EricHawerchuk @NHLJets I think the reason Ehlers is my favourite current Jet is that, for me as an older fan, his skating and style of play reminds me of the inventive, fast-paced hockey the franchise was world-famous for in the 70s and 80s.

As part of Native American Heritage Night and to honor his wife, who is native, Marc-Andre Fleury had a custom-designed mask created by Cole Redhorse Taylor. Mask quotes his dad on back, has names of his kids. He’s bummed the NHL has informed him he can’t even wear in warmups

The war against Hamas is a zero sum game for future Israeli deterrence of follow-on 7 October murderous attacks on innocent civilians. Hamas as an institution must be destroyed and ended as the governance of Gaza.

Now that Paul Stastny has officially announced his retirement, I think it would be an awesome event if @NHLJets were to do a retirement ceremony for him this season. Even though he didn't have long stints as a Jet he did elevate the team and created a special bond with Wpg city.
