Multiple Taken Into Custody After Traffic Stop Bailout in District Heights DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD — District Heights Police are investigating a major incident following a traffic stop that led to multiple suspects fleeing from a vehicle and a large police search in the area. According to preliminary information, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 6700 block of Alpine Street when several occupants reportedly bailed out of the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Police say: Two suspects were immediately apprehended at the scene A third suspect was captured following a foot pursuit Two additional suspects remain outstanding as officers continue searching the area Investigators also recovered: A firearm from the vehicle A large quantity of suspected drugs A heavy police presence remained in the neighborhood as officers searched for the remaining suspects and processed the vehicle involved.
