Men & women working on our roads are there to improve infrastructure for us. They've families expecting them home safely at the end of the day. To launch our #RoadWorkerSafety week campaign, Minister @JohnODowdSF emphasises the need to take care when driving near roadworks.

👌 An asphalt pavement consists of different asphalt layers. In general, the asphalt layers are paved on a bound or unbound road base layer. The first layer is called the surface course. The second layer is mostly called the binder course. The lower layers are the base courses.

@niroads @gaz3434 @CullionPlant @deptinfra Well said Wesley. Cycling in the big cities is a must because of population density. Likewise the motorway and major road network is built and maintained like a valuable asset should be...unlike here.

Any ground surface prepared for transport counts as a pavement.

When you park on the pavement, people are forced into the road putting them in danger. #ThinkBeforeYouPark
