تشرفت اليوم بلقاء سيدي صاحب السمو الشيخ سعود بن صقر القاسمي، عضو المجلس الأعلى، حاكم رأس الخيمة وسيدي سمو الشيخ محمد بن سعود بن صقر القاسمي ولي عهد رأس الخيمة في قصرهم العامر اليوم في رأس الخيمة. خلال اللقاء، قدمت لسموهما شهادة بروفيسور في كلية الطب بجامعة هارفارد، وهنأني سموه بهذا الإنجاز الوطني على مستوى الخليج وقدمت أيضا نسخة من كتابي "الصحة في دولة الإمارات" برفقة أخي الدكتور محمد الشيراوي والذي أيضا شارك في كتابة وحد الطب الشرعي في هذا الكتاب. يتضمن الكتاب لمحة عن تاريخ رأس الخيمة الصحي من عيادة أم دانيال إلى المستشفى الكويت ووصولا للتطور الطبي الذي تشهده إمارة رأس الخيمة اليوم. أتشرف بعملي كبروفيسور في كلية الطب بجامعة رأس الخيمة الطبية التي يرعاها سموه وعرضت على سموه أيضا آخر تطورات قطاع السرطان في الدولة، والجهود المبذولة لتعزيز البحث والعلاج والتوعية. كل الشكر والامتنان لسمو الشيخ سعود بن صقر القاسمي على دعمه وتشجيعه لمسيرة العلم والابتكار في دولتنا الغالية.

Building Bridges: Collaboration with U.S. Health Sector Leaders We were thrilled to welcome the U.S. Delegation, led by H.E. Consul General Robert Raines and Mr. Danny Sebright, President of the U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council. Joining them were executives from the U.S. Embassy, U.S. Consulate in Dubai, and 26 representatives from esteemed American universities, pharmaceutical companies and healthcare institutions. President of the University Prof. Ismail Matalka, along with our university VPs and Deans, hosted the delegation, which included an insightful presentation by Prof Matalka showcasing our colleges, facilities, curriculum, innovations, and research. We are proud to announce that a delegation from RAKMHSU, including President Professor Ismail Matalka, Vice President for Academic Affairs Professor Ali Hajeer, Dean of the College of Medicine Professor Laxminarayana Kurady Bairy, Executive Director of the Center for Health Workforce Development Professor Elsheikh Badr, and several faculty members from the College of Medicine, participated in the “Competencies for Medicine and Beyond Symposium, 2024,” hosted by the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at UAEU. The event commenced with a signing ceremony marking the implementation phase of Emirates MEDs and the National Assessment Bank, which included all Deans of Medicine from across the UAE. Our team engaged in valuable discussions focused on advancing medical education and shared insights regarding the implementation of EmiratesMEDs. Professor Matalka presented RAKMHSU's experience in mapping and implementing Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) in undergraduate medical education, highlighting potential challenges and strategies for mitigation. This event provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with esteemed colleagues and contribute to the future of healthcare education in the UAE. سعدت بالأمس في المشاركة في المؤتمر الطبي الرابع عشر للأبحاث الطبية في جامعة رأس الخيمة للعلوم الطبية. جهود كبيرة ومتميزة من الطاقم التدريسي لتشجيع الطلاب في جميع التخصصات الطبية من تخصصات الطب وطب الأسنان والتمريض والصيدلة للإنخراط في الأبحاث الطبية. صراحة تفاجأت بمستوى الأبحاث الطبية المتميزة التي قدمها الطلاب والطالبات وخاصة في المراحل الدراسية المبكرة وإن دل على شيء فيدل على حرص الجامعة على تشجيع البحث الطبي بين طلابها. وأخر بالشكر رئيس الجامعة البروفيسور إسماعيل المطالقة ونتمنى لجميع طلابنا مزيد من التقدم والتميز بإذن الله.
