A word about the yoof @sheffieldfc It’s very easy to be down on young uns innit. We all forget that was us once. On Tuesday I told this lot if they brought a drum and made some noise I’d buy them a pie. We’re trying to grow a community!! They did exactly that and yeah they sang a few songs that were too much. Some lemonade got thrown about. Nobody got hurt. Just kids being daft. So rather than throw them out or shout at em I just said “look lads gimme 9/10 not 11/10 and keep it cool yeah” Second half they were good as gold and helped inspire the men’s first team to their best performance of the season with an amazing atmosphere at a hugely increased capacity. So I just wanna shout out this gang of lads not only for their vibes but also being responsive to me asking them to tone it down a bit. Also a bit shoutout to Vill Powell and his players. Promotion remains a real possibility and last night they were incredible 🔥

Wonder if the Storch group will try to negotiate with Dejphon Chansiri a buy-off of his debt? The most obvious (only?) way of avoiding -15 next season. And squaring off for all involved. Just a thought on a complex situation. #SWFC

@SWFCTrust @FlyingHighOwl Did David Storch put your “better Wednesday” project on the fridge? Tell me… how much input did the fans get into it? I didn’t get an email asking me any opinion.

If chansiri cared for the club like he claimed he'd remove his claim so we could pay off all the other creditors and avoid - 15🤷 #swfc

@PaulBrough58499 @pal_lufc Such an idiotic statement. So thick. How would the average fan know ten years ago the guy was a crook. Also when he did start creating fake companies loads of people brought it up, people think this has been going on one summer, it’s been going on since our first embargo.

@pal_lufc They weren't shouting when the chancer was throwing money at a promotion push to the top table. Creating companies that didn't do anything( tax dodge). Basically cheating. Reap what they Sow.

The Storch-Costin bid thought to be almost twice Ashley’s, circa £18m. Have been other bidders around that mark but crucially the Storch group well ahead on EFL checks said to be nearly complete. Also well regarded by the supporters trust, I believe. #SWFC
Alan Biggs@AlanBiggs1

Mike Ashley’s “low” bid for #SWFC? Sources suggest £10m or little above. He’d likely argue it’s as much, if not more, than it’s much devalued worth - & that he’s holding fire for a huge job ahead. That said, he’s known what it’d take to be sure of buying it.

BREAKING: Sheffield Wednesday look set to start life in League One next season with a 15-point deduction, because none of the bidders currently trying to buy the club is prepared to pay £15m to the outgoing owner, Dejphon Chansiri.

@davidrichards @AlanBiggs1 Your fan base isnt dormant, its dead. You can't sell out a home derby when the administrators are screaming for support, and the last time you averaged over 30K MOTD was in black and white,

There are increasing reports, echoed by @AlanBiggs1, that the David Storch consortium has submitted a higher bid for Sheffield Wednesday than Mike Ashley. That creates a dilemma for the administrators. Their legal duty is clear. They must maximise returns for creditors. But football clubs are not normal businesses. The buyer also needs the financial strength to stabilise and rebuild the club. I have said repeatedly that Sheffield Wednesday requires at least £100 million of investment almost immediately. Not over time. Not through hopeful projections. Real capital. Against that backdrop, some of the commentary circulating recently is frankly absurd. Stories of £4 million being spent on the stadium and safe standing at the Leppings Lane end miss the scale of the problem entirely. That kind of money barely scratches the surface of what is required to modernise Hillsborough and rebuild the club properly. Mike Ashley may not be everyone’s preferred owner, but two things are undeniable. He has the cash. And he has the commercial leverage. It is worth remembering that Ashley reportedly explored a bid for Meadowhall last year. If someone with that scale of retail and property experience were involved in the area, it is not difficult to imagine a completely different vision. A modern stadium integrated with transport access, parking and surrounding commercial development across that vast footprint. Whether that specific idea ever happens is beside the point. The point is scale. There is no comparison between a bid backed by real financial firepower and one built on optimism and future promises. Sheffield Wednesday has suffered enough from the latter. For the sake of the long-suffering supporters, one hopes the administrators eventually follow the line often attributed to Churchill: “You can always count on the Americans to do the right thing, after they have exhausted all the other possibilities.” Let’s hope we are close to that moment. #swfc

🚨Dejphon Chansiri yet to respond to our request for clarity over money Wednesday borrowed from a Luis Alves. Developing understanding is that at least two sums were received in late 2024. FA have been informed. £3.7m outstanding. More👇 thestar.co.uk/sport/football… #SWFC🦉
