@art_stapleton Doing it after the season and before this would have been good. Being proactive with a player you know is unhappy and who happens to be one of your best would be smarter than what they did. Waiting for Harbaugh is not a good excuse. No good coach would want to lose him.

So when do you rip it up, Joe? Off the elbow injury? That was the only time to do it. You give him $30M aav off the elbow injury after one year on the extension? If you say do it now, that's not foresight. That's doing it after two years. So foresight isn't the problem.

Simple. If Dexter Lawrence was on the open market he would get way closer to $30M than $20M per season.

Dexter Lawrence willingly signed a 5 year deal then asked out after year 3 when he was coming off a year where the Giants had the worst defense in the NFL. And he had half a sack. Love Dex but adios. Harbaughs here now. If you don’t want to be here he’ll find someone who does.

Lastly plugging holes is your measure of a DT you need to learn more stuff. This game is a matter of Xs and Os and if you suck in the run and can only get pressures then your not #1 DT

@JacabWilson @TheEntertainah false double team rate that i saw with my eyeballs? 23 he was top 2 in the league. 24 he was top 1. his contract was a steal the second he signed it and they knew it. so instead of meeting him halfway in good faith, Schoen played tough guy and now we are here.

In 25, he didnt have the sack production but if you actually watch him play he was still good

Unless Schoen gets a massive return for Dexter Lawrenc(if we trade him). I want him gone. You don’t struggle to work out a deal for a player the caliber of Dex. I get he’s coming off a down year. But you have some leverage he’s under contract for 2 more years.

@failalarm @TheEntertainah Not necessarily because he has been crying since year 1 after being paid the highest in the league and now he is still crying because his contract has aged out which imo is the players fault for signing the deal and then getting mad at what he signed
