@JEluemunor I meant in terms of getting torn up by having a game every weekend in inclement weather. In no way would I debate turf is better for players’ health. But a chewed up grass field presents its own problems, no?

Turf vs Grass in December is no debate! Doesn’t matter how cold it gets grass will always feel better. I’ve Played in Green Bay in early December and it still felt a million times better than turf anytime. Turf will never be the answer

I want natural grass in every NFL stadium for the safety of the players. But let's not kid ourselves - everyone calling for natural grass in the moment will be screaming and yelling about the crap conditions of the field in colder weather cities - especially in East Rutherford.

This debate always turns into "they have grass in other cities." All true. Never said they didn't. But there are twice as many NFL games at MetLife - tell me when I'm telling lies.
They should absolutely put grass fields everywhere. It's not as simple as, "They did it for FIFA!"

@art_stapleton Art you know Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Green Bay and Cleveland for years have had grass in cold weather. The 2000 season they laid the worst sod ever at the old stadium. I feel they learned that lesson

They should've told Spain and Argentina this was for third place so we could get some goals.

They've played eight soccer games in a month at MetLife Stadium in June and July. There's essentially an NFL game every weekend from September to January.
There are ways to make it happen, and sure, it should happen, but this isn't apples and apples.

Are backflips less risky on natural grass?

@queens_guy Sal, I was there during the day and saw the ramp. The footing wasn’t bad. Skattebo even explained it this morning and you could see the videos out there.
Again, if you don’t want him to do backflips, I get it. But all the other stuff doesn’t really apply.

@art_stapleton I think you need to watch the video again if you think the footing on the stage was perfectly fine.

The reax to Cam Skattebo’s backflip at Fanatics Fest is absurd given he did one TWO MONTHS AGO at the Brian Burns celebrity softball.
But Skattebo was practicing as spring ended. His leg/ankle is pretty much healed. I wouldn’t want Skatt doing it, but ignoring all else is dumb.
