🔓SSL Certificate update required🔐 SSL certificates will be updated on August 22nd, 2024. Applications using SSL/TLS to connect to JawsDB servers should start using the new bundle at their earliest convenience to prevent disruption in service. truststore.pki.rds.amazonaws.com/global/global-…

@JawsDB I'm having a problem with the new bundle. It looks like the database never got its certificate updated and it's still sending the expired certificates.

Several hundred users have been successfully migrated to 8.0 from 5.7 and these upgrades will continue over the month of February. Users whose database objects have compatibility issues with 8.0 will be contacted again via email before the upgrade is completed.

Due to MySQL version 5.7 reaching End of Life (EOL), users will no longer be able to create new databases on this version using our service. Existing servers will be upgraded to 8.0 over the coming months. More information to follow.

@tony_zephyr Yes! On our dedicated instances (Whitetip plans and higher), the provided credentials allow creation of other users. Granting these new users only the SELECT privilege will make them read-only.

@JawsDB Thanks for your work! Got a question though! Is there a way to have read-only users on an existing database?
