Meh, I live in California and I lived in Texas as well, just outside of Dallas, and there’s no comparison between the two. California is filthy, and it’s common to see the smash-and-grab theft mobs, and people just walking out a store with a cart full of stolen crap. I never saw that in Texas once, nor did I see rampant homeless encampments. You can’t really trust CA crime stats because of course crime rates will look lower when criminals are cite released and never prosecuted.
