No you're not. At one point, this bill had proof of citizenship required AT THE POLLS. Gee, I wonder why they took that out? If proof of citizenship on demand is so simple for everyone, why did they remove it as a requirement for voting day? How does proof of citizenship when I register guarantee anything on Election Day when someone can still show up with regular DL and pretend to be a legal citizen? These well organized illegal alien voting syndicates will just pay a Russian hacker to download voter rolls and get a bunch of fake DLs made and steal all our elections. Seems like you better bring your passport, or your birth certificate with a wagon load of other documents just to make sure you're a citizen when you go to the polls. Talk about the in person proof of citizenship requirement ANY and EVERY time you need to update your registration. Wake the fuck up people. The rest of the bill equals voter suppression and they know it. The legislators know it. It was designed NOT to pass. Election fraud is the GOP's boogey man when they lose, thanks to Trump. These pieces of legislation and Miller's subsequent pressure tactics are right out of the Nazi playbook in 1930s Germany. The constitution put in place after WWI for Germany (The Weimar Republic) was structurally unsound. Hitler pressured Hindenburg and weaknesses were leveraged in Hitler's favor multiple times. Then President Hindenburg invoked Article 48 Emergency Powers for the President multiple times. Gave him authority to suspend civil liberties, freedom of press, assembly etc. He used it over 100 times in 2 years, 1930 - 1932. After the Reichstag fire, it was invoked again that suspended rights indefinitely. Mass arrests ensued and it grew from there. Hindenburg used Article 25 to appoint Hitler as Chancellor in 1933 w/o parliamentary approval. The Nazi party held less than 40% of the seats at that time, yet Hitler was given Chancellor. Hitler's grip on the government was secure at this point and the rest, as they say, is history. These strategies by Miller and others in the Trump admin should never be glossed over. If our constitution is circumvented successfully through any creative attempts by bad actors such as Miller, it could be the final bridge too far that we never come back from. This is why maintaining a functioning Judiciary is key. IF our country survives Trump and his power hungry admin, we'll have Judges to thank.

26 states require voter ID at the polls. There's a reason this is the only point they repeat. They're purposely omitting how citizens registering new or even updating existing registration will have to show up, IN PERSON, and prove citizenship. Move across town.. show up in person. Move again, show up in person. Change your name, show up in person. EVERY TIME something changes. Show up in person.

We've had voter ID in Oklahoma for years. People still show up to vote. It's not crazy to say that this process should apply nationwide.

Nothing initially, assuming you have a valid photo ID to show at the polls. Otherwise, you'll need to acquire a valid state issued photo ID. If you need to update your voter registration for any reason, such as address change, you'll have to go, in person, prove citizenship to get your registration re processed.

How do you think corrupt MAGA leaders are going to handle requirements for proving citizenship in key states with Democrat counties? There is zero guidance in the bill about what's acceptable if a voter does not have the required documentation. It leaves it to the discretion of corrupt state politicians. "(1) may, if the applicant signs an attestation under penalty of perjury that the applicant is a citizen of the United States and eligible to vote in elections for Federal office, submit such other evidence to the appropriate State or local official demonstrating that the applicant is a citizen of the United States and such official shall make a determination as to whether the applicant has sufficiently established United States citizenship for purposes of registering to vote in elections for Federal office in the State." All this says is "if you don't have the documents we require, just give the teller whatever you got, and they'll make a call." In other words, this bill doesn't protect your right to vote if you don't have the required documentation to prove your citizenship. “(ii) AFFIDAVIT REQUIREMENT.—If a State or local official makes a determination under clause (i) that an applicant has sufficiently established United States citizenship for purposes of registering to vote in elections for Federal office in the State, such determination shall be accompanied by an affidavit developed under clause (iii) signed by the official swearing or affirming the applicant sufficiently established United States citizenship for purposes of registering to vote. This is doublespeak, and It's bullshit. It gives voters hope, then gives state officials the right to deny applicants for whatever reason they choose. This section quite literally gives corrupt state officials LEGAL COVER to CHOOSE which voters they allow to vote! Nice try, Mike.
