In one sense, yes, but remember that when ICE went on a hiring spree last year, it sought out macho, aggressive hires. And now one more man is dead at the hands of ICE.

A month ago, investigative journalist Jeremy Scahill reported that during the early stages of the indirect talks to end the war, Tehran’s negotiating team added two "senior psychologists" to help craft their messaging to deal with Trump. Scahill said they were experts in the fields of cognitive impairment and anti-social behavior, and they were added to manage what an official described as "the American President’s psychopathic behavior pattern.” Iran is a bad actor, and they're not geniuses, but they've understood and thwarted Trump on every turn. And absolutely every single foreign leader - ally, adversary, and in-between - can do the same. Because Trump is a transparently flawed, needy and desperate individual, in decline, owned by his disorders.

The payment came from Base Group, the lead investor in Korea Aluminium, which faced penalties after the Commerce Department found that South Korean companies were circumventing trade duties on Chinese-made aluminum. The money surfaced in Trump’s annual financial disclosure released in late June. The disclosure described it only as a nonrefundable development fee tied to a letter of intent. The Trump Organization says it relates to an unannounced golf course project. Base Group has courted the Trump family for nearly a decade. It sells Trump-branded wine in South Korea and hosted Eric Trump at its Seoul headquarters in February, where executives discussed expanding trade between the two countries. As recently as last month, the Commerce Department was weighing whether to raise tariffs further on Korea Aluminium. A preliminary review released last week sided with American aluminum companies. The agency that decides this company’s fate answers to the president. The president took $2,000,000 dollars from its largest investor. This is one payment. Trump’s holding company collected at least $125,000,000 from foreign sources last year, from more than a dozen countries. Every president in modern history stepped away from their business to avoid even the appearance of a conflict. This president kept nearly 30 ventures with foreign partners and now profits from companies whose fortunes his own government controls. This cannot be normalized. Tulsi Gabbard's choice to single out Ukraine and spread debunked fabrications about its biological research labs is pathetic. Her last actions as DNI solidified her reputation as a traitor who actively uses her platform to validate Russian propaganda. The biological lab conspiracy theory is one of Russia’s most aggressive disinformation campaigns, and Gabbard has been one of its primary Western drivers. She is well aware that Ukraine’s facilities are strictly rated Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3). These are ordinary diagnostic labs found in almost every country to manage local infectious diseases through controlled air currents and basic containment. The defining characteristic of a BSL-3 lab is that it handles microbes that can cause serious harm, but for which medical science has already developed functional vaccines or therapeutic treatments. Because Ukraine has no BSL-4 labs, her claims that these facilities pose a global biological threat are entirely fabricated. BSL-4 facilities require absolute, maximum isolation to handle lethal, exotic pathogens that have no known cure or treatment whatsoever. They are heavily fortified environments where scientists must wear pressurized, oxygen-fed suits to survive. By pretending Ukraine's basic BSL-3 labs are equivalent to these maximum-risk bioweapons centers, she provided the Kremlin with a vital propaganda victory to distract from its war crimes and divide the international community. Providing aid and comfort to a hostile foreign regime (Russia) by legitimizing their wartime deception is an egregious violation of national trust. Gabbard’s deliberate attempt to undermine the West from within means she should not just be condemned, she deserves to face the full legal consequences of her actions, including jail time for treason
