#OnThisDay in 1917, a group of medical women met at a tavern by the Thames and set up the Medical Women's Federation with the aim of supporting women doctors in their careers. Bearing in mind in 1917, they were not allowed to vote or have a bank account in their own name

An all female surgical team in vascular theatre today. Worthy of addition to #ilooklikeasurgeon ! All happen to also be mothers and wives so don’t let anyone make you feel like you can’t do this! You can. #ouh

Tips from @NeenaModi1 "Be true to yourself and know what you want" "Ask yourself what you want to achieve. Think about the time constraints". Don't let anyone decide what you want to do, make that decision yourself. Think of yourself in the future looking back at your career.
