Today was the big day @MWFNewcastle spent most of the year working towards, our Annual Symposium! It was a fantastic day of workshops & talks and I feel so proud to be president of such an incredible committee 💜 They’ve really been a dream team 🥰

Our final session (☹️) of the day was the announcement our poster competition winners and a presentation of one of their posters!

The always wonderful @DrNaomiSutton asking us to challenge our perceptions on sex to help us be better doctors for our patients and help break them the cycle of sexual dysfunction!

Two very different but excellent workshops taking us into lunch: @acmlin2108 and @a_c_harvey_b busting research myths and sharing some really useful tips on getting into research!

An excellent keynote speech from Professor Dame Kumar, who talked on the importance of role models and discussed her learning points from an incredibly successful career!

Our next speaker announcement is the other half of the duo leading our workshop on research: Dr Anna Harvey Bluemel! We are excited to hear about her experiences of research so far and some helpful tips on getting involved!

First up we are so excited to be hosting a talk from the wonderful @drnaomisutton on female dysfunction! We are so excited to hear her speak about a group of conditions that are so rarely discussed in medical school, as well as in research and medical practice as a whole.
