I saw someone say Pokémon Black and White have a bad early game variety for main stay team members so here's a list of Pokémon you can get before the second gym just to show how dumb that opinion is: Elemental monkeys Purrloin Munna Lillipup Drilbur Roggenrola Blitzle Tympole Timburr Sawk/Throh And then immediately after the second gym which is still early game you have access to Cottonee, Petilil, Sewaddle and Venipede. Anyone that says BW has a bad early game roster is delusional

My entire reference point for Pokemon as a kid was a sticker album that went up to Celebi so when the end of the Gen 2 anime happened and that motherfucker pulled out Blaziken I flipped through the thing like five times going "who the fuck is that" like a maddened scholar

Having even a barebones single player mode beyond the tutorial would be helpful to ease newer players into the pvp environment and instead of encouraging that people would rather go "uh they're focusing on pvp quit being dumb." It's like people WANT to discourage new players.

Bro has to fight for his life every time he posts an opinion Also yeah it's pvp focused but it would cost basically nothing to include a Battle Tower mode into the game. They already have competitive movesets for a bunch of mons from prior Towers + Blueberry Academy.

@Whisper35218370 @NBinted @angryandtooloud LGPE also forces it and completely lacks the bitter herbs as items, but otherwise yeah it's optional and you have to opt into it by using certain features.

@NBinted @angryandtooloud BDSP is the only game that forces it due to lack of a dedicated affection minigame. In every other game friendship literally caps and can only be raised over into affection levels with optional mechanics.

I get that the affection meter can make modern Pokémon too easy but it’s so funny hearing people say sociopathic shit like “I purposely feed my Pokémon bitter healing items and let them faint so they hate me and don’t get the buff”

@Bam_Bam_Bam2 @trzef It didn't even accomplish that to any meaningful extent. Brawl's game pace is what really turned people off from it, and that's an issue more deeply rooted in what Brawl is as a game. Tripping is just emblematic of a bigger problem.

Happy we got official acknowledgement of this game in any capacity but like...yeah man, I'd pay full price for a remastered version with Home integration. XD is a fantastic game and deserves better.

I ain't gonna say ORAS are bad but like Emerald totally mogs them if you're not afraid of pre-phys/spec split Pokemon.
