I’m a British Jew & like the majority of British Jews I/we have family in Israel, many of which who also serve in the IDF. Israel has a right to exist. Jews have a right of self determination in our ancestral homeland. Jews have a right to live & not be targeted or murdered simply for being Jews. Show me a Glastonbury concert where an ‘artist/musician’ has openly called for the death of any sovereign nation’s army casually in front of hundreds of thousands & where it is openly broadcasted around the world for millions in real time. This incitement (call it what it is) has very real consequences for not just Israelis but Jews in the diaspora. Oh & btw…. isn’t it incredible that morons like you who cheerlead at a music concert have basically conveniently forgotten that it was at a music concert with peaceniks of all ages minding their own business enjoying life (singing & dancing) that were terrorised, abducted & butchered, which is why we’re in this mess to begin with. Oh & finally…. when Hitler is more welcome at a music festival than British Jews are, it really speaks volumes.

This BBC statement defames @BobbyVylan. "Death to the IDF" is not antisemitic. Declaring this to be so is antisemitic, because it conflates Jewish people as a whole with a genocidal army. People's fury is directed at heinous crimes, not the ethnicity of the perpetrators.
