Lmao. Democrats first “Project 2029” policy proposal is to implement mass surveillance, Digital IDs, and internet censorship all under the guise of “protecting your children.”

NEW - Dems' "Project 2029" first major policy proposal: an online child safety plan — narrowing Sec. 230, banning social media for kids under 16, promoting phone-free childhoods and more Already backed by Cory Booker, Mikie Sherrill, Randi Weingarten + Jonathan Haidt

The people telling you we need digital ID “to protect the children” are the same people covering for Epstein’s clients.

So, naturally, the federal government made no further attempts to do that for decades after the CDA and COPA were struck down by SCOTUS. I'm also sure it's purely "coincidental" that these online age verification laws popped up not too long after the AVPA was founded in 2018.

@patriotmom61 @approject It is absolutely the government's job to prevent adult websites from distributing online pornography to children.

So I want to make something clear: I am aware that the House passed the KIDS Act today, which doesn't surprise me at all. I legit figured it would pass, but that's okay. It still needs to be worked out in the Senate, which is a very high bar to pass.

The House floor vote didn't quite go our way, but the fight's not over yet. Start contacting your Senators and tell them to oppose the KIDS Act, and if that doesn't work, this package can still be stopped in court like what happened with the CDA of 1996 and COPA.

If you're passing censorship laws in the USA you're stealing our American freedom and should be shamed and rejected by the entire country.
Rep. Brett Guthrie@RepGuthrie

Later tonight, the House is set to vote on the KIDS Act, which is the most comprehensive, impactful children’s online safety package Congress has considered. Throughout the 119th Congress, @HouseCommerce has worked in a bipartisan way to protect children on the internet, and this legislation delivers commonsense reforms to put the safety of America's young people first.

🚨🚨 KIDS Act passes House with a 150-elector margin of support. It’s honestly stunning that we got 117 ‘no’ votes on a surveillance bill designed to be hard to vote against (‘you voted to HARM KIDS!’ can be a death blow to politicians even today) TIME TO ROAST UR SENATOR.
Rep. Frank Pallone@FrankPallone

Update: My bipartisan KIDS Act passed the House today by an overwhelming vote of 267-117. Big Tech has had a free pass for too long. Today, that changes.

@Noob326 has to go through the Senate again. They aren't too happy with house's KOSA. If I'm understanding correctly they don't like the KIDS act neither. Plus if it would pass. Netchoice, CCIA and etc are on our side and will take it to the court

@TheJevil2005 not yet. Still needs to go through the Senate. They don't like the house's KOSA. From my understanding they don't like the KIDS act neither. If all fails. Netchoice, FIRE or another group. (hopefully all of em as a group.) Will take it the court

Here’s the roll call of members of Congress who betrayed the Constitution and the American people by voting yes on the KIDS Act. The sickest part is that these people used “protecting kids” as an excuse to further insert government between parents and their children—all while establishing a surveillance infrastructure to monitor and control Americans of all ages.
