Tonight, the House passed @HouseCommerce's bipartisan KIDS Act! This is a major step toward a safer online world for kids, making safety the default, giving parents more tools to protect their children and teens, and holding Big Tech accountable.

I asked Idahoans for their feedback, and the message was clear: make Daylight Saving Time (DST) permanent and end the twice-yearly clock changes. Today, I voted yes on H.R. 139, the Sunshine Protection Act, to do just that.

Governor Hochul's data center moratorium halts billions of dollars in investments, destroys good-paying jobs, and hands China the advantage in the AI race. This is a backward step that leaves the United States weaker and empowers our adversaries. axios.com/2026/07/14/ny-…

🚨 @HouseCommerce is investigating New York's Medicaid program, which costs taxpayers $124 billion a year, and is failing to prevent and address fraud.   New York's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, under AG Letitia James, was found to be the one of the worst-performing units in the country, according to a new calculation from a non-partisan think tank, the Empire Center for Public Policy.   Read more on the lack of accountability for those using YOUR taxpayer dollars. ⬇️ nypost.com/2026/07/09/us-…

Today, the House passed the Sunshine Protection Act to end the biannual time change and keep the nation in Daylight Saving Time permanently. This will provide Americans with an extra hour of daylight in the evenings during the winter to enjoy the outdoors, visit family members, and more.

Today, the House took an important step toward ending the outdated practice of changing our clocks by passing my Sunshine Protection Act. My bipartisan bill reflects what Americans have been saying for years: it’s time to lock the clock. buchanan.house.gov/2026/07/14/buc…

In 2019, Tennessee enacted a law to make Daylight Saving Time permanent, but it can't take effect without Congress acting first.     That's why today I helped pass the Sunshine Protection Act to finally end the twice-a-year time change for good. It's time to LOCK THE CLOCK! ⏰

I consistently hear from Georgians in the 12th District who are sick and tired of resetting their clocks twice a year. We're one step closer! I just voted to pass the Sunshine Protection Act, which would make Daylight Saving Time (DST) permanent—eliminating the twice-yearly change. Help me urge the Senate to get it done!

✅ JUST PASSED: The Sunshine Protection Act It’s time to lock the clock. Twice a year, Americans have to disrupt their daily lives, springing forward and falling back an hour. The Sunshine Protection Act ends that for good, meaning there's more light at the end of the day for people to exercise outdoors, return safely from school, and attract customers to their retail businesses.

Changing the clocks twice a year isn't just inconvenient — it's disruptive to our daily lives @RepKatCammack highlights. The Sunshine Protection Act makes Daylight Saving Time permanent, so Americans will no longer have to keep changing their clocks and they can enjoy more sunshine in the evenings.

Americans overwhelmingly agree — we need to stop changing the clocks twice a year. The Sunshine Protection Act does just that, making Daylight Saving Time permanent so Americans can have more consistency and enjoy more sunshine in the afternoon. China dominates in global critical mineral processing, but @RepPfluger’s bipartisan EMRTAI Act aims to change that. This legislation directs @EPA to investigate and support systems that recover US sources of critical minerals, helping ensure China can no longer corner the market on the materials our economy and national security depend on.

Currently, lithium-ion batteries are considered "universal waste," and get recycled by handling facilities. But, as @RepMMM stresses, critical minerals like nickel, cobalt, lithium and copper can be recovered from these batteries. The bipartisan BRACE Act would allow destination facilities to store lithium-ion batteries before they get recycled, making it easier to support the domestic recovery of the minerals we need.
