There’s now a chance that The Super Mario Galaxy Movie won’t crack 1 Billion. That is a serious problem and nearly 400 million in diminishing returns. This is what happens when studios put the script dead last on their list of priorities; you end up with a bad movie.

The DCU, the DCEU, nothing dc has come close to marvel in terms of General audience love and appeal. Hasn’t been there since Nolan. You can love directors or what not but none of them gotten there since Nolan. Not Gunn, not Snyder. DC isn’t on that level. Won’t get there.

@sylabdul Disney closing with an avengers sequel to what was the largest movie of all time for a while vs WB in the middle with a DCU with only one movie out and others to be released isn’t really the same. Marvel and DC haven’t been in the same stratosphere as one another since Nolan.

Some theater exhibitors stated the WB panel overall was actually SOLID Great start with Tom Cruise 'Digger' and ending strong with exclusive Dune 3 footage Seemingly unanimously, DC Studios was deemed the WEAKEST of their entire presentation The fact the placement of the DC portion was 'buried in the middle' unlike Disney closing their presentation with Avengers - shows the clear contrast of the true overall hype for these two different CBM studios Thinking Superman 2025 somehow 'restored dcs respect' should be short lived. Many complaints border around plain disinterest in Supergirl, mild-to-average interest in Clayface (which was deemed the highlight of all DC showed btw), shoehorned MoT mention that didn't accomplish much and the mysterious absence of anything BATMAN Again, these are the thoughts of theater exhibitors, they want to SELL these films and not here to choose a fanbase or whatever For the GLOBAL box office game, DC still needs a real shot in the arm, judging by the feedback

some who saw the exclusive Supergirl CinemaCon scene say that it literally felt like Guardians of the Galaxy I haven't been on that train this entire time, willing to give this DC film a chance After nearly ten test screenings and adjustments to the final cut, people are saying it's DC GOTG 💀 This can't be ignored smh I'm just hoping I'm entertained but not expecting the GA to follow

The difference between Kevin Feige and James Gunn is Feige makes it about the filmmakers and gives them as much credit as possible Gunn makes it about him and takes as much credit as possible. Thats why the DCU sucks and the MCU (despite struggling recently) thrives.

I recently talked to a prominent Hollywood writer about The Snyder Cult. Everyone in the industry knows about them and yes, they’re a big reason why studios and producers are now hesitant to work with Zack Snyder. Instead of demonizing their behavior, he doubled down and it has cost him dearly.
