@YesterdaysBrit1 And no triple cooked chips. They were just cooked the once and tasted great.

If you can recall when THERE WAS NO Costa Coffe, no vape shops, no Turkish barbers, no Dunkin Donuts, no rainbow-coloured police cars, no Deliveroo, no men who thought that they were women, no-one sitting on park benches eating Greggs' steak bakes, no-one shitting on the pavement, no McDonalds Happy Meals, no scratchcards and no get three Toblerones for the price of two, I can confirm that you were part of Yesterday's Britain 🇬🇧, A Better Britain 🇬🇧

@anon_opin Yes should be like the football. They should tell people who want to stay up all night watching the results come in to ‘look away now’

Super-accurate exit polls have ruined the excitement of staying up to watch the General Election results come in.

If everything in life was as colourful as a car park in the seventies, then we'd have a real spring in our step. But everything is so bloody dull and grey today.

@YesterdaysBrit1 Remember getting pissed on McEwans on an intercity 125. Going for a piss was good fun on a rough bit of track.

Childhood memories there. Can you smell the cigarette smoke? And what about the sticky carpet? And the hot dogs and fried onions? And people laughing and joking? And everyone spoke English. And life was simpler back then. And the seaside was a wonderful place to be. Amen.

Yesterday's Britain, A Better Britain.
Multiple wheelie bins for plastic, paper, glass, and food waste, all lined up like ugly ornaments. Emptied, perhaps, once a week, unless a millimetre of snow has fallen. Men who grow breasts and wear skirts. People who wear watches to tell them how many steps they've taken since they got out of bed. Drivers slowing down on motorways to film pile-ups, and then posting their videos on the internet. Easter Eggs that don't mention the word 'Easter' on their packaging. Unwashed and thick-as-pig-shit protesting layabouts who glue themselves to roads, because they've got nothing better to do. Policemen who have eaten too many pies. People spending hundreds of pounds on scratchcards, but are unable to buy food for their children. Women dressed in pyjamas who take their kids to school, in big cars, when their kids could probably walk there... This is life in Britain TODAY, folks!

@fesshole Being a ‘promising footballer’ is a very dangerous occupation if you’re in London. Loads of them been murdered over the years. Definitely not a career I’d want to get into.

I was very good at football as a kid but hated the game and the people playing it, so never pursued it. Just learned a friend who I was easily better than is earning £35,000 per month. I do wonder if I was a little hasty back then. My lower tier admin job doesn't quite pay that.

@YesterdaysBrit1 Toilet hand dryers. The ones in the 80s/90s were shit. The Dyson ones of today are great.

Can you honestly think of one thing that is Great about today's Britain? 🇬🇧 I mean, is there anything today that is better than it was 40 or 50 years ago? And when I say 'anything', I'm referring to something beneficial and important to all of us.

People who post angrily about their drama on social media without actually saying what happened are the worst. If they're going to make us all read their rants they could at least have the decency to explain properly instead of vaguely going on about "backstabbers" and "liars".

It weirds me out that his mouth looks like a puckered anus. He's even got that sheen of anal seepage around his lips, like he's either been rimmed or is leaking. You know exactly who I'm talking about.

@SuzieWo20886208 Funny that seeing as I bought an house in London for £50k in 1996 during the dying days of John Majors Conservative government and 6 years later during Tony’s Blair’s Labour government I sold it for £153k. Not that I’m complaining as set me up for life 👍

Prior to Thatcher the average worker on a regular wage could afford a mortgage: The standard rate offered right up to the 1980s was 3.5x your salary. Not including overtime. This meant that one partner could stay at home to bring up the children. Not a child minder.
