I’m 72 and bought a Model Y in December. I’ve had deep brain stimulation surgery for essential tremor. The results were mixed. But in September I had amnesia (while watching the Tennessee/Georgia Football game) and ended up in the hospital overnight. It took weeks to run all the tests to rule out a stroke, etc. The doctors couldn’t figure out what happened but cleared me to drive. I have an adult son with autism who depends on me to drive him around and do goofy stuff (ride the train, go to the aquarium, Miracle League Baseball, etc.). I didn’t want to risk a recurrence of the amnesia while driving him. Looked into a Tesla with FSD. Problem solved. Like my brain surgery, it’s not perfect. I have issues with the local navigation, But I feel totally safe while it’s driving me. I’ve gotten used to getting it going in the right (probably should say preferred) direction and letting take over. Had some memorable moments already. More to come. Happy Riding Ricky!
