Democracy does not guarantee human rights. If it did, you would not be a human rights lawyer in a country like Nigeria. The lie you were told is that you exist as a civil society to strengthen democratic institutions, but in reality, it’s actually the other way around, you exist because democracy has failed. Also, when you say “dictatorship,” on whose standard are you judging who a dictator is? America’s? Because as far as I know there's nothing democratic about a system that produces two bad choices at every election cycle. It is “dictatorship” when one man decides how the collective wealth of a nation should be proportionately distributed, but “democracy” when a tiny group of oligarchs decide how the collective wealth of a nation should be disproportionately concentrated in one class. You better wake up.
Inibehe Effiong@InibeheEffiong

I will like the “Pan-Africanists” on X to tell us where they stand on human rights and democracy? Is Pan-Africanism anti-human rights and anti-democracy? I see their obsession with dictators. They condemn civil societies/NGOs and appear ready to crush any form of dissent. When a governor in Nigeria diverts billions meant for education and healthcare, and uses the money to acquire properties, are we supposed to blame the ‘almighty’ and omnipresent America and the all powerful CIA? Should we stop talking about human right violations by the criminal dictators in the African continent? Since it is only Pan-Africanists that know what “geopolitics” means, they should tell us what they think about human rights and democracy in Africa.

Heated moment during a live interview featuring David Hundeyin, @precious_enyi and Yelwata indigene Barr. Franc Utoo, as discussions intensified over claims of a “Christian genocide” in Nigeria. The disagreement escalated after David Hundeyin stated that the number of Muslim casualties is higher than that of Christians, prompting a strong rebuttal from other participants who challenged his position. The exchange became highly contentious, and David Hundeyin eventually left the livestream during the argument.

Only in Nigeria do fishermen go to the market with gun trucks. These ISWAP, Boko Haram and Ansaru terrorist bastards have links with some top politicians. Perhaps, that is one of the reasons why it has become more difficult to crush them. Security Agencies should continue to expose all their sponsors and collaborators! #SayNoToTerrorism

Nigerians who defend capitalism, but do not belong in the 0.001% who the means of production have been ceded to, I have a question for you: how exactly is this system of economy in your best interest? Why are many of Nigerians fond of defending systems that are designed against their well-being. What psychological condition is this?

@Lets_GetBusy @Big_Mck People usually have mentors. Be it a colonized mind or a revolutionary one. That's perfectly normal. But "His mentor" doesn't live in the West . You'd know that if you were attentive enough. You'd also know the West is certainly not a place for a revolutionary to seek asylum!

Boko Haram intensifies their campaign of terror during political seasons. They collude with politicians with similar ideology to unleash destruction and violence against Nigerian citizens. A day before President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s state visit to London they deployed suicide bombers. Nigeria must crush political Boko Haram, their sponsors and supporters! #SayNoToTerrorism

@gabe_teee I criticize Nigeria government and still live in it. Critique follows power, not personal preference. The USA is worth analyzing because it shapes the entire world; its wars, its debt traps, its culture exports. Nobody's dodging North Korea because they secretly love America

Iran had no business agreeing to this negotiations. 1. They had the upper hand 2. The US and Israel already shown they couldn’t be trusted. Recall they started this war in the middle of negotiations. But just to show you who really wants peace, and who the aggressors are. Yet, even ahead of the latest round of negotiations, Iranian delegates received assassination threats. During the negotiations, the US tried to achieve what it couldn’t achieve with war. The US sent a failed author, and two grifters to go and attempt outsmarting STEM PhD holders in Islamabad. Isn’t that crooked and foolish? I hope everyone is taking note.
