@VirtualAxiom@blacknredtext@Epicartworks Completely agree. I gave BotW two honest attempts, one on WiiU and one on the switch. I got to the same part both times and I just couldn't go on because I just hated the game so much. Weapons break easily, every ability was handed to me at the start, and many more.
Without question. I've been a hardcore fan since 2003 when I was able to properly dive in beyond my dad's copy of the original game on his NES, 100% completed every game since multiple times, can play Ocarina with my peripheral vision and muscle memory and no-damage the Cave of Ordeals and Savage Labyrinth in TP and WW, and BotW is the one where despite my sincere attempt to let it win me over after my initial disappointment, I gave up with only Ganon, the DLC, and ~400 Korok turds left. It drained me, and all I was left with was objective proof that it really had nothing to offer but busywork, and the resentment that came from that reality.
@AsprosOfAzeroth@blacknredtext@Epicartworks I never got the chance to play the original warcraft 3, as i started with WoW. I understand why people don't like Reforged, but i tried the multi-player with a friend and liked it, i just have to play the campaign. I wish they would remaster Warcraft 1 and 2 though.
@VirtualAxiom@blacknredtext@Epicartworks Absolutely true. BotW ruined the Zelda series, and I've been a fan for 20+ years. It's one of the worst Zelda games ever made, and I guarantee that if the Zelda title wasn't slapped on it, it wouldn't have sold well.
As a massive - and I do mean MASSIVE - Zelda fan, Breath of the Wild is the hardest drop I've experienced from excitement to despair in my then-20 years of playing video games. When I tell you I was *READY* for that game, expecting the easiest 10/10 of my life, only to get tedious busywork, lazy copy-pasted mini-"dungeons" that only four of which even have a boss, and it's all the same boss with a different element, to say nothing of its myriad of other problems...I've never despised a game more in my life, and it's insulting to see fake Zelda "fans" glaze it like they do.
@blacknredtext@Epicartworks I am a big Zelda fan. I love the series, however Breath of the Wild was the biggest disappointment ever. There's too many issues with the game that I cant fit in the limited amount of space I have in this tweet. BotW ruined Zelda.
I'm gonna prove something. I have a Google Doc of every single Pokémon, from 1-1025.
COMMENT YOUR FAVORITE and I'll add your name until we've found someone who likes every single one!
@omniryu@GucciCanti Hard disagree. I've been a zelda fan since I for over 20 years, and I gave BotW two attempts and hated it. It's as wide as an ocean and as deep as a puddle. The shrines dont do it honestly. I'd much rather play the old games.
@Linkiscool115@GucciCanti Long time Zelda player here. They are good games and the probably top 5 in the series. Zelda is known for their puzzle amd strange interaction with the world. All botw totk did was take it up to an 11
@smugcat51@GucciCanti I was there, I saw the trailer. I gave the game two attempts, and came to the conclusion that it was boring as hell. It's as wide as an ocean and deep as a puddle. I'd much rather have the old formula back instead with dungeons instead of shrines. You'll never change my mind.
@Linkiscool115@GucciCanti I'm absolutely sick of people saying it's a game with Zelda "slapped on it". Obviously you weren't there in 2014 when the first teaser came out and everyone's jaw dropped. People wanted change from Skyward Sword's extreme linearity. The franchise needed to change.
I still mourn what Blizz did to Mulgore in Cata.
I know technically it is more interesting, but making Brambleblade Ravine inaccessible was such a downgrade. I remember tip-toeing through it to avoid pulling Quillboar haha.
The scale of classic WoW is what made it epic imo.
