Israele sta conducendo una guerra di estrema complessità contro un'organizzazione terroristica sanguinaria che, in spregio ad ogni principio umanitario, si scherma dietro la popolazione civile di Gaza in scuole, ospedali e luoghi di culto. Israele non intende arrecare danno a chiese o altri siti religiosi, ma, al contrario, profonde ogni sforzo per difenderne la sicurezza. @Agenzia_Ansa I satelliti bruciano nell'atmosfera, ma va bene così perché ne lanciano a decine di nuovi, migliori, ogni paio di giorni. Sono fatti in modo da bruciare completamente nell'atmosfera superiore (>70km) in modo da non inquinare. Assumetemi come fact checker per notizie sullo spazio.

I finally know why people hate PHP, it's easily the hardest thing to configure with docker. especially if you are trying to install extensions, pecl install, docker-php-ext-install, docker-php-ext-enable 😵‍💫🤕

@yamanidev first, you need to figure out if you need the cli or fpm version, and which extensions are required. some can be installed with the docker-php-extension-install script, while others need pecl. it's a total headache. and yes everything is installed on system level.

i might have accidentally figured out the best docker setup for laravel local development, lightweight, everything based on official images, and used alpine for most services + local ssl. i might publish this soon as a template repo, if i can package it and document it properly.

@tylerlwsmith You don't have to spend hours checking for system dependencies, simply use github.com/mlocati/docker… (I created that script myself to solve this exact issue).

It's really frustrating how much trial-and-error it takes to create a PHP Docker image. My PHP extensions need system dependencies, and the installer won't even tell me which extension is crashing the extension build. This is awful. PHP is too fragile.

Yup... docker-php-extension-installer is definitely going into serversideup/php. It took our Alpine image from 597 MB (uncompressed) down to 108 MB (uncompressed). 😵 Very easy developer experience too. More optimizations in the works 💪

@jaydrogers @nick_escobedo I believe that you saved so much space because my script installs the system (apt/apk) packages that are required at compile time, but unininstalls them once the compilation is done. There's no reason to keep source .c files in production.

I thought I was clearing it, but when I found this project, it immediately dawned on me @LocatiM freaking crushed it already. 😆 I am stoked to use this! It's sooooo easy now!

@AHaidarzhy @jaydrogers If you need to install the latest versions, you have to compile them. And knowing the system dependencies is really time consuming. My script greatly simplifies this process, you simply ask to install an extension and you are done. Many extensions and many PHP versions supported

Installing PHP extensions by hand is challenging. Knowing which packages to install beforehand is difficult. What do you think of serversideup/php installing this project from @LocatiM by default? I found it from the official PHP documentation. github.com/mlocati/docker…
