@InnocenceCapit1 Golf is general has been dragged down into the bro'd out pits of hell by corporate greed

@livgolf_league @brysondech @KevinHart4real your boy should be banned from The Masters for this disgraceful publicity stunt

💬 @brysondech talks through his day with @KevinHart4real on the bag
REPORTER: "Your caddie calls you a rock star; what do you call your caddie?"
DECHAMBEAU: "The best in the world. He just pumps me up. I don't know. I mean, I don't know why he calls me a rock star. He's the superstar."
REPORTER: What kind of advice was he giving you today?
DECHAMBEAU: "A lot of wind advice out there. He was reading the greens a little bit. It was fun to get out there and have him experience what golf at this highest level is."
"And he was telling me as we were walking down some of the fairways, he was like I didn't realize it was like this all the people looking down on you, seeing every little detail of what you're doing, and then just how technical you guys are, how strategic you are, how thoughtful you guys are, and how much control you have with your golf ball. He was mesmerized by it."
"So it's really cool to see somebody that's that big of a superstar getting into the game of golf. He's done it for the past seven months now. He's just gotten into the game seven months ago and for him to finally see what it is like at this high level is really cool because he's like I have so much respect for you guys. And it's cool to see that."
"He's a superstar in his own right and a movie star and comedian and business entrepreneur, like everything he's done is so impeccable and impressive."
"To be able to collaborate with golf and see how good the game of golf is for the world, it's cool to mesh two worlds."
REPORTER: "Did he give you any tips?"
DECHAMBEAU: "I just told him to close his eyes on the ninth hole and hit his swing as hard as he could."
REPORTER: "What was the best shot here?"
DECHAMBEAU: "Probably the putt on the last hole. He almost made it. But then he hit a four-footer and lipped it out. That was funny. I am sure that will be over socials. I almost made a hole in one on three.
"That would have been amazing. I probably would have jumped in the lake if that was the case."

@SirPuttsalot @TheMasters There were certainly different problems in the 1960s but that certainly doesn't excuse the bro'd out stupidity of yesterday, and of present pop culture, in general
English

@LoopersProShop @TheMasters The entire point is I can’t. An absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
Yesterday wasn’t remotely close to most… nah not going there.
English

@LoopersProShop @TheMasters Yeah and the martini swilling crowds of the 1960s with no cameras on them behaved like a Quaker service. 🙄
English

@GolfDigest Should've been escorted off the property after yesterday's publicity stunt
English

@Top100Rick Don't ignore the kevin hart of it all, as well

Masters fans are united on one thing:
They are sick of the Kelce bros lol
Read these comments, it’s crazy. 99% against.
Which makes me wonder, who exactly is asking for this? What demo wants to see a Kelce bro in every single thing that’s ever on TV?
There must be another world somewhere lol.
English

I just know they all sit around talking about how annoying Bryson is

@Joecattle101 That's fine, but at least it was simply an ignoble day for families instead of a circus sideshow
English

i don’t mean to be an asshole but i do not want to see the football/podcast guy at the golf tournament
SportsCenter@SportsCenter
Jason Kelce flew it over the green 😅
English

@SportsCenter @JasonKelce STRIP ESPN OF THEIR BROADCAST RIGHTS!
English

@RedHarrington44 Fuck that. The game doesn't need to be whoring itself to the lowest common denominator. Rather the game shrink and retain its soul.

I feel like Chairman Ridley may have a different opinion on this if he spectated the mob scene of young patrons that developed as a few of the dude perfect members stepped out to watch some of yesterdays practice round. Their only reprieve coming when Bryson finished on 9 and began his usual lengthy autograph filled walk back to the club house.
There is no doubt to many traditionalist this was below the Augusta National standard, but I do think there’s a valid argument to be made about the need for creating golf adjacent entertainment focused on drawing youth into the game.

Reflections from Fred Ridley this morning
English

@espn Nobody wants this bullshit. Hopefully your broadcast rights are revoked and Bryson is banned.
English

@BrianLaw1987 Hopefully today will act as a come to Jesus moment for them but, given that Bryson is still in the field and that they still produce "Mornings @ the Masters" I sadly doubt it
English

100% Agree. Augusta will get back to roots, i’m sure
Just A Caddie@LoopersProShop
Par 3 contest has officially jumped the shark. Unfortunately Augusta has allowed ESPN/Disney to sink their claws in and make it a promotion joke. Gym Teacher Kelce and Kevin Hart have no business being anywhere near Masters coverage. Unbecoming nonsense today
