I think #athletics hold the record for single-game attendance in a wildcard game? Not sure who holds the actual “playoff game” record, but I know the Angels drew >64,000 to playoff games in 1986, for one. (And, including the World Series, the Dodgers drew >90K at the Coliseum)

Just remember that the A’s won Opening Day in 2023 and then went on to only win 49 more games after that. The 2013 and 2012 A’s lost Opening Day. As did the 2006 A’s, 2001 A’s, and 2000 A’s. The moral of the story is that a loss tonight may actually be a win in the long term.
