Democrats: "If you redo the TX maps we're going to redo other states." Republicans: "Suck it libtards. Cope." Democrats: "Ok, so we're doing CA and VA." Republicans: "Wait.. no. What? This is the end of America. Stop! This is un-American!!!!

@andruchk @micah_erfan I noticed that you hypocrites said nothing about how New York stole 3 seats in 2024. Louisiana v Callias will allow red states to remove 19 Democrat seats. The 2030 Census will remove 14 Blue Congressional Seats and Electoral College votes & give the to red states. Karma!!!

@jerzzydevl @oath1789 @tommysantos14 Governors across the country shut down their economy because of Covid. They reopened their states and look, Biden crated 14 million new jobs. Idiots!

True. You always pick the lesser of two evils. Every Democrat president of the last 3 decades has presided over the creation of most of the job growth in this country. Clinton, Obama, and Biden all ushered in multi-year economic expansions, while Republicans ushered in recessions, near depressions, and botched pandemic responses. So Barb is right. Always pick the lesser of two evils. And unless you think more money and economic prosperity are "problems" and you like paying more and not having a job, you pick Democrats every time.
Insurrection Barbie@DefiyantlyFree

This is your daily reminder that no matter how you feel about Republicans and how much of your frustration and anger they deserve because they are not the answer to your problems, the Democrats are the source of them. In politics, you pick the lesser of two evils.

@shawood1969 @MarkCook185009 96.3% turnout is fiction. Try again. Also, courts, audits, and election officials.. across both parties... reviewed fraud claims and found no evidence of widespread issues.

IN's own data: - 21 noncitizens voted - 3 million ballots cast Meanwhile, this law will block thousands of eligible Hoosiers.. especially seniors, low income voters, naturalized citizens, and married women from voting. A fake problem... Real disenfranchisement. Every time..

While the Senate is stalling on passing the SAVE America Act, I’ll be fighting next session to pass it here in Indiana. Indiana already led the nation in requiring photo ID to vote. We can lead again as one of the first states to require proof of citizenship to register to vote

@JustIndianaGirl @shawood1969 Thank you admitting you are wrong. The Democrats claimed that 989,000 registered voters would not be able to vote in that upcoming elections. You are saying that that were wrong. The Voter ID law did not stop people from setting a new record. Thanks for playing.

@MarkCook185009 @shawood1969 2008 turnout was driven by a historic presidential election, not a law upheld days prior. That’s correlation, not causation. One election 18 years ago isn’t proof of anything today.

@JustIndianaGirl @shawood1969 On April 30, 2008, the SCOTUS allowed Indiana to use their Voter ID law. 7 days later, Indiana set a new record for voter turnout while requiring voters to show an ID to vote. Your argument is baseless.

@JustIndianaGirl @babyblueice22 Indiana won the lawsuit in the SCOTUS in 2008 that allows Voter IDs. In fact, the majority opinion was written by a liberal Democrat. You can complain all you like about this bill all you want, but the SCOTUS dismissed your arguments, thus they are meaningless.

@JamesTate121 The Democrats started this gerrymandering wars by stealing 3 seats in New York in 2024. Now the Democrats are making up all kinds of lies to justify their theft. A sham bill, full of items that they knew Republicans vote for, and claim that the GOP was against the bill.

@GeoRebekah Democrats steal 3 seats in New York in 2024, but when the Republicans use the same tactics against the Democrats l, this is an attack on Democracy. Watch Democrats scream when the GOP get 19 seats because of Louisiana v Callias. And when the GOP get 14 electoral votes in 2030.

So Texas, Florida, Lousiana can all gerrymander their states against the will of the people, but California and Virginia can't do it after the people voted to do it? How about we ban ALL gerrymandering and everyone stops? Oh, that's right. Republicans would never win the House ever again. So they won't stop, and now the democrats are doing it, and we're on track to party-states instead of fair representation.

Student IDs accepted in Indiana for nearly twenty years. No evidence of fraud presented. A federal judge called the law a solution in search of a problem and blocked it. The Seventh Circuit reinstated the ban with no explanation during an active primary. The lower court said wrongful disenfranchisement after an election cannot be remedied. The appeals order did not engage with that reasoning. Indiana students are now being turned away at the polls while judges deliberate.

@jdhughez @GeoRebekah We have already removed the white nationalist from the white house. I fail to see any of the white nationalist left on the SCOTUS. I saw a report the other day that the descent is slow walking the order because they don't want the Democrats to lose those 19 seats in 2026.

@MarkCook185009 @GeoRebekah Yeah that Captured Court is there to institute one party white nationalist rule, we are quite aware. Don’t hold your breath though, SCOTUS is notoriously unreliable at these things. Predicting rulings is a fool’s errand. They seem to be souring on MAGA lately.

Virginia told the people exactly what they were going to do, and the people voted in favor of it. In the context of what Republicans have always done to gerrymander their states, this may seem like a fair course-correction at the national scale. Maybe it will provide some balance for those disenfranchised in other states, and if it's approved by the voters, it's hard to argue against. But I don't celebrate this victory for my own party because it's a further erosion of our principles. Gerrymandering is wrong no matter who does it, how they do it, or who grants consent. If we want BOTH parties to stop it, then we need real reform. Non-partisan, independent redistricting committees made of experts and academics in the relevant fields (e.g. Geographers, demographers, etc). "They did it first" is a juvenile way of governing. What may feel like a temporary necessity can evolve into a practice of tyranny by majority.

Republicans complain that Virginia's redistricting initiative passed only 51.4% to 48.6% so it is undemocratic. In 2024 Trump was declared the winner 49.8% to 48.3% of the popular vote, not a majority and yet Republicans are fine with him running roughshod over the country.
