@therealskriggo @samsona7777 @clarisselou Star Wars, to take an example relevant to this discussion, has always appealed to a wide as possible audience. It was a mega blockbuster. Empire was the highest grossing film of 1980. It didn't get that way by appealing only to a small niche of mega nerds.

A tyranny of the minority is the singular federal government exerting authority over all of the many states’ individual government.

@GlammaSooz @Elliesaurusreck @Logically_JC Translating "the votes of all the people across the country" to "population centers" is an interesting rhetorical move but it doesn't change the fact that the EC doesn't make it so that "everyone is represented." A direct vote would do that.

The system established by our founding fathers is the best to ensure that a few population centers would not control the Presidency and Vice Presidency. This ensures that the ENTIRE country is represented. This was done to ensure that mob rule would not control the country. It is a pity that you are not intelligent enough to comprehend this. You vote in your state elections. Your state has 2 Senators. Your state has a representatives that represent the popular vote of your state. Up 1912, Senators were elected by the state legislatures. This government was NEVER designed to be run by the popular vote. They knew that the masses/popular vote would lead to an unstable country and government. If you knew anything about the history of this nation, you'd know this.
