@nofear_8 @BlackMajikMan90 Nobody said it's a 1:1 conversion. It's an adaptation. That's how that works. In this instance, Hal is passing on his ring to his backup, again a concept derived from the original comics.

@nofear_8 @BlackMajikMan90 I didn't say they shared a ring. At least not in the sense you're implying. I said they were backups and would've gotten the ring if / when Hal died or retired. That was expressly their purpose originally as the backups.

@nofear_8 @BlackMajikMan90 This is not true: John and Guy were both introduced as back-up Lanterns for Hal, with the express goal of wearing his ring should anything happen to him. They both got their own rings later.

DC studios should have picked a better tag line. Also that's not how that works. John Stewart in the comics had his own ring. When John Stewart became Green Lantern Hal Jordan was still a green lantern.

@JrockMcdonald In the comics, originally, John (and Guy) were selected as backups to replace Hal. Later on, they each got their own rings, but that's different. This interpretation is still valid and taken straight from the source material.

I think it's cool that EDH decks come with full art commanders now. BUT - I want this card in the 99 of another deck, I hate that I'll never be able to get this card with a normal border - because I am picky like that! Wish they would do other borders in collector boosters!
