@G_O_A_T_Lantern upcoming gl solicitions leave out Hal so - despite what Adams says - it seems no he won’t be in this book anymore or at the very least he’ll appear for one or two panels lol. Make no mistake this is Basically Just another attempt at replacing Hal that I will not be supporting

The Hal story was my personal favorite. I also really enjoyed the Kyle origin story. So at the end of the Hal story, there is a note that we will follow Kyle getting a job, and see where Hal is going next issue. Does this mean Hal will still be in the book?

@Rememberfright @G_O_A_T_Lantern Very hypocritical imo. Neither retellings added anything new. In Kyle’s case we already knew all that stuff about him.

@G_O_A_T_Lantern The origin re-telling was unesessary, it did not add anything new to what Johns did, unlike Kyle’s re-telling. The present day Hal story was too short to be impactful or build any mystery. I just left feeling like “oh ok I guess”. And this sapphire hands are rated A for All

@Rememberfright @G_O_A_T_Lantern If you look at the upcoming gl solicitations there’s essentially no mention of Hal. It’s all Kyle with this issue being predominantly Kyle and marketed as such with the whole “rise of Kyle” title. It’s clear what dc and Jeremy Adams are doing.

@G_O_A_T_Lantern Jeremy Adams has said multiple times that Hal will still be on the book, just as the B plot. Like Kyle used to be before he took over in this issue

@SpectresLegacy Parallax retcon purpose is to fix the train wreck that is ET and it succeeds. Hal’s true calling isn’t the Spectre, it’s being a Green Lantern. And Kyle being the face of the franchise makes zero sense. How could we have gotten bangers like Sinestro Corps War if that was the case

Now to get the redundant takes out of the way: parallax retcon sucks, Hal should’ve remained the spectre, Kyle should’ve been the face of the franchise etc etc

The guardians being villains is getting a bit old really fast. After the events of emerald twilight, the entire system of the Green lantern corps should’ve changed to allow there to be more trust between lanterns and guardians, and to avoid a future parallax Hal situation.

@Gibleson @Rememberfright You only like Hal Jordan when he’s literally not Hal Jordan and instead widely out of character and murdering his fellow friends and Lanterns. So of course a retcon That fixes that and aims to return HalJordan to his true self displeases you 🤷‍♂️

@Rememberfright The Geoff Johns Parallax retcon sucks because it lessens the impact of what Hal Jordan did by removing any agency he had in the matter.
