Morning Scripture 🙌 Starting the day with God. 🙏
The story of Rahab teaches us a powerful truth about God’s mercy and how faith can change everything.
It comes from the book of Joshua in the Bible.
Rahab lived in the city of Jericho, a strongly walled town that stood in the way of God’s people entering the Promised Land.
She was not an Israelite. In fact, she worked as a prostitute, and her life was far from perfect.
Yet when two spies from Israel came to her house to scout the city, she chose to hide them rather than turn them in.
Why did she do it?
Rahab had heard the stories of how the Lord had dried up the Red Sea and defeated powerful kings for His people.
She believed that the God of Israel was the one true God, the God of heaven and earth.
In faith, she said to the spies, “I know that the Lord has given you the land” (Joshua 2:9).
She asked them to promise that when Israel conquered Jericho, they would spare her and her family.
The spies agreed.
They told her to tie a scarlet cord in her window as a sign.
When the walls of Jericho fell, her house on the wall would be safe.
Rahab did exactly what they said.
She gathered her family inside and waited.
When the Israelites marched around the city for seven days, and the walls came tumbling down on the seventh day, Rahab and her household were saved.
Because of her faith and courage, she and her family became part of God’s people.
The Bible even tells us that Rahab later married an Israelite man named Salmon.
She became the mother of Boaz, who was in the family line of King David and, many generations later, of Jesus Christ Himself.
Rahab’s story shows us that no one is too far gone for God’s grace.
She was a Gentile, a woman in a dangerous profession, living in a city marked for judgment.
Yet when she put her trust in the Lord, He welcomed her fully.
Her life was transformed, and she became part of the Savior’s family tree.
This reminds us today that faith in God is what matters most.
No matter where we have been or what we have done, if we turn to Him with a sincere heart, He is ready to forgive, protect, and use us for His good purposes.
Like Rahab, we can choose to believe His promises and step into the new life He offers.
May the Lord help each of us to have that kind of simple, courageous faith!

@wisdomXplorer Yes, absolutely! No matter which way it goes, good or bad, right or wrong! The results of your actions should teach you that lesson.

Good! I wish we'd give him a good public caning just to show how serious we are about this whole minajerie of mis-conduct by our leaders. Our leaders should be held to stricter penalties for their actions. God holds them so. Read about it. They're gonna pay no matter what, but it would be satisfying to see a preview.

@Old_SchoolEddie Yessir! Prayer feels a whole lot better than worry, and worlds more productive.

@kimmagagal2 That's all they have in their tiny little shriveled up brains. This probably came about during the vaccination of America. There had to be a layer of vaccines to cause DTS.
