California Democrats have cooked up a new “Property Transfer Tax” that would charge homeowners 5-6% on every home sale — based on the sale price, not your equity. That means if your home is worth $700,000 to $1 million — which is common in California — you could get hit with a tax bill of $42,000 to $60,000 just for selling your home! That’s right: after years of paying your mortgage, property taxes, insurance, and upkeep, Sacramento politicians want to grab tens of thousands more when you sell.

Photography tip of the day:
Expose for you highlights. What do I mean by that? It means to expose your photo just enough to keep the detail in your highlights.
It would've been really easy to lose the detail in the bright part of the sky here but that part is the first place your eye goes and gives your brain important information about the light source.
Cameras are great at retrieving details in shadows but terrible at retrieving details in blown out highlights so underexposing is preferable to overexposing %99 of the time.

I've been stuck in this ebb and flow of followers the last week with cleaning up my inactive followers. But now I'm only 12 away from my goal of 2500 followers by the end of the month! 🥳 Considering that my account activity was basically flat with under 100 followers until mid October of 2025 - I think I've made some great progress! Onward an upward! Not asking to be part of any F4F groups, just celebrating the small win. I value authentic followers over big numbers. 😎
