@lostkayla1 @WallStreetApes You don't need to mix in the jam into yogurt until you want to eat it. I usually make it like a parfait. It's cool that it will make yogurt too. Once you start making your own creations, it is fun. I started adding a touch of real vanilla to the strawberry preserves. Try it.

I just discovered the other day my bread maker has a yogurt setting. I was thinking the jelly would mix in it well. When I read the ingredients on chobani I discovered that’s how they do theirs, only they add a couple of things like locust bean gum and use milk that isn’t organic. So I could actually make mine better than theirs. Also the bread maker has a jam setting. It’s really a useful device.

Our strawberries in America have been changing These strawberries from target have the consistency of rubber, you can squish them like a rubber ball Strawberries never used to be like this La Bella Vita strawberries and many grocery store strawberries are sprayed with chemicals like 1-MCP (1-Methylcyclopropene) and ethephon. This is done to delay ripening and extend shelf life These chemicals can make fruit firmer and rubberier while reducing natural aroma and taste. The best way to avoid these chemicals is to buy organic or from a local farmers market you can trust Our food is being poisoned

@lostkayla1 @WallStreetApes But hey, if that breadmaker will whip up some nice jam, go for it! I also don't use sugar. I use honey from farmers. I also use half or less of what recipes call for. I use an apple for strawberry jam to make it set up in lieu of the sugar.

@lostkayla1 @WallStreetApes I make my jam old school. I read your post and my mind can't even comprehend a breadmaker making jam! But I'm in France where I cook almost everything in enameled cast iron, stainless steel or terra cotta. I'm working my way up to copper kettles in the near future.

Organic means no pesticides, gmos, and at least 95% organic ingredients. Labels like “ all natural” have no federal requirements to allow them to label it that. It must have a federal approved label saying organic to be regulated as an organic product. You should probably consider the foods made from those strawberries too. I made my own strawberry jam using ingredients from the farmers market. Let me tell you I can’t remember the last time I tasted jam so good. Peanut butter is another easy one that you can make and get from farmer’s markets. Very easy to make these. Those rubber strawberries go in all kinds of grocery store foods as well as pretty much everything else you find there. Plus farmers markets supports local small buisinesses and help the local economy.

@Michell01926597 The old testament is pretty dangerous since it's part of the reason why "Christcucks" worship modern jews more than Jesus Christ himself. And the modern jews are Jesus Christ deniers who killed him... since they're the SoS that Jesus Christ called them out on.

When they say that “white people have no culture” are they lying or are they just too dumb to understand it? This might sound crazy, but some cultures are a lot more sophisticated than spicy food, and X rated music. It’s literally western civilization.

@OutofKPSarael The old testament isn't dangerous if one actually reads it. I've never met one of these people in real life that you refer to. I have only seen some videos. Perhaps they follow scholfield. But if they read any of the other Bibles, then your concern wouldn't happen.

A Lithuanian farmer discovered a church bell buried for 82 years while working his field. Cast in 1908, locals buried it in 1942 to protect it from Soviet forces who melted church bells into weapons. It came out of the ground perfectly preserved.

@BlondeOfWar Went to a Dennys in Toronto. Wanted a biscuit, hashbrowns, eggs with sausage gravy over everything. The waitress thought I meant the gravy used on steaks. Paid for my meal and promptly threw it all in the trash. How do they not know about sausage gravy in Canada?

Honestly, if y'all are from the South, you already know. 🙌🏼 This right here is a staple in every home and if it's not, you ain't from around here. 😜 The food in Britain is probably why the pilgrims left in the first place, though, so this tracks. 🤢

@fritz007 @drinkonsaturday @end3of6days9 Vegas isn't the best place to order Southern food. You need to be in the Southeast. The Southwest is better for burritos, chili colorado and tamales, etc.

Chicken fried steak is a true Southern tradition that every modern man should master. Start by pounding cube steaks (or tenderized round steak) to about ¼-inch thick with a meat mallet to ensure they’re fork-tender. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Set up your dredging station: one bowl with 1 cup all-purpose flour mixed with the same seasonings, and another with 2 eggs beaten with 2 tablespoons of milk for the egg wash. Dredge each steak in the seasoned flour, dip it fully in the egg wash, then dredge again in flour, pressing the coating on firmly so it sticks. Heat about ½ inch of canola or vegetable oil in a cast-iron skillet to 350°F. Fry the steaks 3–4 minutes per side until deep golden brown and crispy, then drain on a wire rack. For the gravy, pour off all but 3 tablespoons of the pan drippings, whisk in 3 tablespoons of flour, and cook for about a minute. Slowly pour in 2 cups of milk while whisking constantly until the gravy thickens and bubbles. Season with salt and plenty of black pepper. Slather those crispy steaks generously with the creamy pepper gravy and serve alongside hot buttermilk biscuits. Add mashed potatoes or fried eggs if you’re feeling extra. This crispy, tender, gravy-soaked classic comes together in under 45 minutes and delivers pure comfort on a plate. A meal fit for modern man. 🇺🇸

@drinkonsaturday @louisedbegin Chicken fried steak is a Texas staple. It was introduced into the Texas food culture by German settlers in central Texas. Their staple was the schnitzel, a pork fried steak. Pork was that abundant when they settled, beef was. That’s my story….

Funny thing is "mustard" comes from "must" (unfermented grape juice), which is what the French took out and replaced with wine and/or vinegar. Me, I'm a big fan of "mostarda di Cremona" - made from whole or large pieces of various fruits—typically cherries, apricots, peaches, pears, figs, and quinces - spiced up with the addition of concentrated mustard seed oil or powdered mustard seed.
