@WallStreetApes It may be a challenge to learn to make your own stuff, but honestly that’s a survival skill that should never be lost. And you can avoid those things if you do it right. Even this guy will find his way eventually 😂 youtube.com/shorts/-bVGYPq…

The ice cream isle has changed in America Nearly the entire isle has changed their labels to no longer say ice cream and instead say “Frozen dairy dessert” Even the most popular ice cream we’ve been trained to think is good. Now has changed labels This is due to to strict FDA regulations on what can legally be called “ice cream.” FDA Legal Definition of Ice Cream must meet these minimum standards: - At least 10% milkfat (from real cream/dairy). - Minimum levels of total milk solids. - No more than 100% overrun (air whipped into the mix (more air = lighter, cheaper product) - Minimum weight per gallon at least 4.5 lbs If a product falls short on fat, solids, or has too much air, vegetable oils, more stabilizers or gums it cannot legally be called ice cream. It must be labeled something else, most commonly “Frozen Dairy Dessert.” Companies like Breyers, Dreyer’s, Turkey Hill, and others have quietly reformulated most of their popular flavors over the years to use less real cream, more cheap fillers, emulsifiers, vegetable oils, and extra air Not everyone sold out, these brands you can still legally call ice cream: - Häagen-Dazs - Ben & Jerry’s - Blue Bell - Graeter’s - Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams

@ThoughtCrimes80 Concrete jungles all end up the same. It’s why I always preferred the high country small towns in the mountains. Denver is too big. People were never meant to live in such large groups.

It’s pretty interesting. I didn’t know it was possible either until I saw it. But because a bread maker has a built inn tool that is used to mix the dough and is designed stop and start to do things like letting the dough rise it is actually not a much different feature to have it designed to stir and heat at the appropriate times to make jam and yogurt. I still have to clean cut my strawberries into a usable puree and measure the ingredients out. But I don’t have to sit and babysit it while it does the mixing and heating. I’m not sure yet about the yogurt. The instructions talk about insuring placement of the bread maker where it won’t get numbed or disturbed in the process. I’ll try it here in a day or two and see how it goes.

@lostkayla1 @WallStreetApes I make my jam old school. I read your post and my mind can't even comprehend a breadmaker making jam! But I'm in France where I cook almost everything in enameled cast iron, stainless steel or terra cotta. I'm working my way up to copper kettles in the near future.

Our strawberries in America have been changing These strawberries from target have the consistency of rubber, you can squish them like a rubber ball Strawberries never used to be like this La Bella Vita strawberries and many grocery store strawberries are sprayed with chemicals like 1-MCP (1-Methylcyclopropene) and ethephon. This is done to delay ripening and extend shelf life These chemicals can make fruit firmer and rubberier while reducing natural aroma and taste. The best way to avoid these chemicals is to buy organic or from a local farmers market you can trust Our food is being poisoned

@lostkayla1 @WallStreetApes You don't need to mix in the jam into yogurt until you want to eat it. I usually make it like a parfait. It's cool that it will make yogurt too. Once you start making your own creations, it is fun. I started adding a touch of real vanilla to the strawberry preserves. Try it.

I just discovered the other day my bread maker has a yogurt setting. I was thinking the jelly would mix in it well. When I read the ingredients on chobani I discovered that’s how they do theirs, only they add a couple of things like locust bean gum and use milk that isn’t organic. So I could actually make mine better than theirs. Also the bread maker has a jam setting. It’s really a useful device.

@lostkayla1 @WallStreetApes Yes, plus I dehydrate my own to use in granola, strawberry almond and dark chocolate. It's great on it's own or on yogurt.

@WallStreetApes Meat straight from a rancher isn’t even the same color as grocery store meat. It smells different, texture is different, cooks different. Grocery store food is just poison these days.

More Americans are buying steak, taking it home and finding the texture to be very mushy This is what’s called meat glue and it’s legal in America Processors use it to take cheap meat trimmings and scraps and glue them into premium looking steaks like filet mignon, ribeyes and more When cooked, these “formed” or “restructured” steaks can have a mushy, gummy, spongy, or falling-apart texture instead of the firm bite of a real steak When it’s mushy like this, it’s almost always meat glue Fully approved by the FDA, GRAS, Generally Recognized as Safe and USDA. It’s allowed nationwide In restaurants no menu disclosure is required. Many steakhouses and chains use it to reduce waste and costs

PapaBear PSA: Don’t do drugs! This dude said “tonight’s a good night for a haircut” and decided the lighter was the stylist. Bro went from “casually lighting a cig by the brick wall” to “FULL HEAD TORCH MODE” in 0.2 seconds. The way the flames just WHOOSH up the side of his head like it’s trying to audition for the Olympics… chef’s kiss. And then the man has the AUDACITY to look DIRECTLY at the camera with those big ol’ eyes like “😮‍💨… yeah this is fine, totally planned.” The smoke is thicker than a Colorado dispensary at 4:20 and he’s just vibing. The best part is when he stands up and starts doing the full chaotic dad dance with the little flame still flickering on top of his head like a birthday candle that won’t quit. Man’s out here doing the “I regret every decision that led me here but I’m committed” shuffle. This is peak “hold my beer” energy except the beer was already on fire and so was his scalp. 10/10. No notes. This is what happens when you let Florida Man visit the Midwest. Absolute legend behavior. I’m saving this for every “bad decisions” compilation from now until the heat death of the universe.

🚨 BREAKING: Fast-Moving BRUSH FIRE explodes in Simi Valley, California, evacuations underway as homes are threatened Fire broke out this morning, already burning 10+ acres with structures catching flame. Helicopters dropping water as residents flee. This is what happens in California after years of insane environmental policies, zero forest management, and prioritizing “climate” lectures over actual prevention.

@RobertD660 @LeahRain77 @eMTBrides A good portion of us raised there went up that on an annual fifth grade field trip. I don’t know if they still do that, but it was normal then. If you can’t handle the mountains should probably live somewhere flat.

Here’s a nice dose of vertigo or exhilaration , depending on your personality type. Why are there are no guard rails on this treacherous road? This is Pikes Peak in Colorado.. have any of you ever driven on this?

Back in the 90’s, if you told me that it would be necessary for a US president to pass laws to stop schools from pushing transgender surgeries on children, i would never have believed it, because I couldn’t imagine the country could become that insanely fucked up.

The left will always eat their own. This protester had stood alongside them for over an hour, fully supporting their cause. But the moment he tried to drive home, the crowd turned on him. His car was attacked and damaged. Even after he held up his sign to show he supported them, they continued screaming, pounding on his vehicle, and eventually tore the sign away. Moments like this reveal something important: for some people, it becomes less about the actual cause and more about the adrenaline of confrontation itself. The protest stops being about persuasion or meaningful change and instead becomes centered around disruption, intimidation, chaos, and destruction. When even allies are treated as enemies, it’s a sign the movement is losing its purpose.

At least it goes bad, I’ve had a time or 2 where I bought bakery products that I left out far too long and it didn’t mold ( had some of those bakery muffins and one fell behind the fridge, found it over a month later looking like I just bought it I mean no mold no crunch very strange)….it’s a bit concerning when perishables don’t perish I mean what are they putting in them?

ABSOLUTELY disgusting and infuriating! Kroger “Simple Truth” organic grass-fed tenderloin steaks that squish and stretch like Play-Doh? That’s NOT real meat — it’s fake lab-grown slop. They MUST label this garbage on the package. This should be ILLEGAL.
