I remember a few years ago how conciliatory my ‘tone’ was in conversations on X about this. I’m sure many women were same. Particularly from a professional standpoint - as I’m not anonymous- I recall thinking I must stay measured. It was thrown back in our faces. We were told we were bigots even when we were polite. I wonder if you can wrap your head around this. Not overly confident but we can give it a go maybe. A lot of the liberal turning away from X - including by your own employer - occurred in the wake of it becoming a free-speech oriented platform. Those institutions, including Stuff, preferred it as a platform that censored disfavoured views. In that way, deliberate decisions by institutions to cease using X have become seen as an indication of disapproval for free speech and in favour of controlled speech. The free speech union exists to promote free speech. I really wonder if you can surprise me here Phil.
