🚨 HEARTBREAKING: NIH is now funding an effort to KIDNAP LOST PETS from local animal shelters and use them for cruel science experiments! Are you kidding me?! White Coat Waste just discovered that these poor animals were "adopted" from local shelters, only to be taken to a lab and tortured to death. This program, conducted at the University of Missouri-Columbia, is abusing lost pets who likely once had loving homes. The investigation found that many of these pets were micro-chipped and registered to local owners. They never got the chance to be reunited. Instead, they were forced to hyperventilate through ventilators pumped with carbon dioxide and cough with tubes in their throats. As an animal lover who has adopted several dogs through shelters like these, I am absolutely outraged and heartbroken.
