My team made a pass the pen video for the kids. We miss being in the classroom with them so much, but they are doing an amazing job in a crazy situation. ❤️ Music is by @BlackViolin - we saw them on a field trip and the kids loved them!

Today we took a virtual field trip to Zehr Goat Ranch in Eagle, Colorado USA. They are a human and animal sanctuary helping retired farm animals and veterans. We LOVED it! So much fun! Baby goats! 😍🥰 Thank you for showing us around the farm!

@kjinquiry I have a daily check-in form for the kids- How are you feeling? What went well? What can we do better? Anything you want to tell me? I started sending a weekly one to parents with similar questions. Parents have thanked me because I was the only one who asked.

A student taught me (and some of the other kids) how to make a basketball hoop during our Zoom recess today. ❤️

I just ended a class meeting with a Zoom recess. It was so fun. The kids were laughing and showing off their pets. We played break out room roulette. I think we’re going to need to do this a few times a week if not every day. They clearly miss their classmates. ❤️🥰❤️

Student led conferences- we’re still meeting and gathering in Idaho. So fun for the students to share their learning and daily schedule with their parents. Love the presentation skills they gain here!

All the 4th/5th teachers were invited to attend a fancy Red Cross lunch and receive the Spirit of the Red Cross award for the donation our students made when raised money for the Red Cross with our carnival. Super awesome! #AIALobos

Doing some test prep leading up to state testing in April. Reflected on what hurts and what helps when testing. Practicing -being focused and on task while testing is still a huge struggle for some.

Our students did an AMAZING job performing Frozen. Our drama club is all volunteers and run by parents. So thankful for them!! #AIALobos

I wonder if you could do a fable mash-up.. mix two fables into one. I also thought about am doing a modern one. Motivational posters, movie posters/trailers....

Preparing for the next of #distancelearning by working on a teacher writing example as we move into #fable writing. Have some cool ideas cooking! Any suggestions on how best to go about teaching fables?

Learning about government. Field trip to the election office where they got to fill out a mock ballet, turn it in, and even got a sticker! #AIALobos

Learning about the different branches of government. We’re also practicing our note taking skills- proving to be a challenge for them but it’s been a good struggle!
