@MattWeaverRA I never understood the outcry for nascar overtime but nobody saying anything about this every year. At least the OT rules are clear as can be whether you like them or not. This is always so made up as they go as to when to red flag it or do a quick yellow to restart it

The late race preservation red is becoming a new norm so I largely accept it as a de facto policy but there's also an element of me that doesn't like rules from Lap 10 not applying inside 10 to go. This one feels more satisfying because Rosenqvist overcame the bad draw and took it.

@jshaunAU2006 @MattWeaverRA They did it at the coke 600 2 years ago. The rain was over and they almost had the track dry and then just abruptly called the race. Even the teams and drivers were confused by the call

@MattWeaverRA I don’t think they would do that for the cup race. But this was a support race and almost midnight…. I don’t like it but it was the right call vs everyone coming back tomorrow at 8am to maybe run 40 more laps

A part of me agrees because I empathize with the disappointment. In good faith, they should have parked them when spotters were literally tweeting visibility concerns under yellow, and especially since this is a home race. But also, the industry is just trying to get through this weekend and there's also the Truck Series and rain in the forecast all week.

Dug into the Kyle Busch stuff a bit this morning and none of it makes sense to me. Not that anyone deserves an explanation but I do hope we hear the true cause after autopsy. 42 years old here and at such a young age dying and leaving a family behind scares the crap out of me
