We turned the Dutch elections into a moment of connection. Dutch citizens from across Chicagoland joined us to watch the results of the Lower House elections. For fun, we even held our own local “shadow election” poll 🗳️ — which reflected a result quite similar to the real one!

World Business Chicago and Brandon Johnson (Mayor of Chicago) brought together the consul corps in Chicago. Consul General Eric Strating, contributed from a Dutch perspective to a high-level discussion on how cities can address affordable housing and wage growth.

With great sadness, I learned of the passing of Simon Nanne Groot, founder of @eastwestseed and East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer Foundation. He received the 2019 @WorldFoodPrize for his work to transform vegetable farming for smallholder farmers. My ❤️goes out to his loved ones.
