Storefronts need a hard disclosure policy. If Gen AI has been used during the development at all, it needs to be disclosed in the store page.

With them, we looked into the assets in question and found that there were indeed some early versions of assets that made their way into the the prologue. This includes some in-game portraits and external marketing assets. We are actively reviewing the assets in question. Human made versions will be released in an update dropping soon. We own up to this oversight and apologize for any upset caused. Please be assured that the Early Access and full game will not include any assets generated by AI.

@Chaos_Akuma Unfortunately steam dropped the AI disclosures from their ToS. I think either there’s more of it being used than any companies are willing to disclose or they got paid off for situations like this where unless you’re looking for it you wouldn’t think about it

Update about 1666 Amsterdam; they got caught using gen AI for both the cover art and in-game assets. They plan to patch out their oopsie so people will still buy it.
They haven't disclosed it's use on steam though, which I'm pretty sure is against steam's ToS. 👏
