@EverythingBubbl @DooM49 Yea. Though I would say the change happened after BF4. BF1 already started to pull the franchise on a very different path. I think what has happened to vehicle gameplay after BF4 is the clearest tell of the change in direction.

@Namesiithe2nd @DooM49 Correct, but I think most would agree I am referencing pre BFV here. There was a big shift in the mechanics and marketing after that title. And I think the precursor of games prior to that were much more aligned under a single identity and game type than the recent trajectory.

@DooM49 Unfortunately, yes. The franchise lost its identity due to trend chasing and appeasing the loudest voices in the room, not by sticking to their guns and staying grounded in what made the franchise so appealing in the first place.

Personally decided to refund the Forza Horizon 6 premium upgrade. I bought it only for early access, and when the full game ends up playable early because of platform mistakes, that “benefit” means nothing. Next time do better, or just scrap this nonsense and release it for everyone at the same time. I’ll still play FH6 on the normal release day, but I’m not paying extra for a ‘broken perk’.
