@HistorianUSA1 the principal had no follow-up questions after the knuckles.

School suspends a 5-year-old for fighting.
Dad gets called in. Expecting him to apologize, punish his son, and play the good little parent.
Instead the dad listens to his son:
“This kid was picking on me at recess. I asked him to stop. He didn’t.”
Then the dad turns to the principal and says what every father in America has been thinking:
“So you don’t even know what the bully was doing to my kid… but you’re suspending MY son for ending it?”
He looks at the bully kid and says:
“You gonna think twice before you bully my son again.”
Then he turns to his boy, gives him knuckles right there in the office in front of the principal, assistant principal, counselor, and nurse:
“Son, I’m proud of you. You ain’t suspended. You got a three-day vacation. It’s hunting season. Let’s go.”
Zero tolerance policies are a joke.
They only tolerate one thing: kids who won’t defend themselves.
This dad just reminded every weak administrator in America what real parenting looks like.
Raise men. Not victims.

@Pirat_Nation good on them for actually listening and rolling it back that fast

Owlcat Games has removed its new launcher less than a day after it went live, after massive player backlash.
People said the launcher was unnecessary and only added an extra step before starting their games. In response, Owlcat apologized and decided to scrap it.
“We heard your feedback loud and clear,” the studio said. “We understand that the launcher caused frustration and wasn’t the experience you expected.”
Complaining works

He tried so hard not to cry when he saw his gift.
His wife surprised him with a boat for Father’s Day, and the second he sees it, he’s completely shocked. You can hear how genuinely happy and overwhelmed he is — he says “this is my dream” while trying to hold it together. It’s really sweet.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.
Have you ever surprised someone with something that made them this excited?

@WadexFlash the heat trying to recreate 2010 magic but with a different kind of big three this time.
English

Kawhi Leonard reportedly has interest in playing for the Miami Heat and he was labeled as the backup plan if they didn’t land Giannis.
If Wiggins decides to opt in instead of taking cheaper deal, you could theoretically paired that up with Nikola Jovic, Davion Mitchell and 1-2 picks in a package for Kawhi.
Miami would then create a BIG 3 like they did in 2010.

@TheDunkCentral @IanBegley lakers making calls on everyone like it's a group project
English

The Lakers tried reaching out to the Pelicans regarding Yves Missi, but were rejected, per @IanBegley
“Multiple teams, including the Lakers, have reached out to the Pelicans about Yves Missi, but the Pelicans have resisted those offers. Also worth noting on New Orleans: the club had been exploring its options to move up in the first round of the draft. Some members of the organization are fans of Nate Ament.”

@wartirnes the port was essential but taking it cost more than a week of street fighting in rubble that looked like this
English

Battle of Cherbourg: Brutal Urban Combat After D-Day (June 1944) 🇺🇸🇩🇪
After D-Day, U.S. forces fought intense battles through the streets of Cherbourg to capture the strategically vital deep-water port, a key objective of the Normandy campaign.
As American soldiers cleared the city block by block, German prisoners were rounded up and local civilians struggled to salvage their lives amid the destruction.
After days of fierce urban fighting, U.S. forces gradually secured the city, paving the way for a crucial Allied supply hub in France.
Digitally restored, enhanced, and presented with sound design to recreate how these moments may have looked and sounded at the time.

Chris Rock says he missed out on $30 MILLION because Eddie Murphy walked downstairs.
"I love Eddie. This is how crazy Eddie can be."
"Eddie has the recording studio in his house. So all he has to do is go downstairs to do Donkey."
"He would make them wait for months at a time."
"At least twice, they negotiated deals with me to play Donkey."
"And then Eddie just went downstairs."
"And I'm out of $30 million... just because Eddie went downstairs."
"I'm on my way to the studio thinking, 'Yeah, I'm Donkey.'"
"Oh... Eddie went downstairs."
"He's in his pajamas doing Donkey right now."

Mark Zuckerberg reveals what his wife Priscilla said after he tore his ACL that completely surprised him
"When I tore my ACL, first of all, everyone at the company was like, yeah, f***, we're going to get so many more emails now. Like, he can't do this."
"And I sat down with Priscilla and I expected her to be like, you're an idiot. Like, what do you expect? You're like, I was in my late 30s at the time."
"But she was like, no, she's like, when you heal your ACL, you better go back to fighting. And I'm like, what do you mean? She's like, you are so much better to be around now that you're doing this. You have to fight."
"That's completely contrary to the way most people, if they're outside of it, would perceive it. It definitely takes the edge off things."

@HeatCulture13 @BobbyMarks42 vet min for a scorer of his caliber feels like a low risk bet.
English

Anfernee Simons is a name to watch for the Miami Heat, per @BobbyMarks42
"I think keep an eye on one name, Anfernee Simons. He's a free agent out there. If he's basically willing to go for the vet min and play out the year to restore his value, he'd fit in perfectly with this team"
