When I told the polling station staff that I was voting for The Green Party, they gave me a little smile and then handed me fifty ballot papers instead of one. The person next to me was a Reform supporter and they only gave him one, and when he complained the lady at the table swung her handbag at his head and knocked him out, before dragging him out through the back door. Then everyone stood up and clapped as I filled in my pile of ballot papers and slotted them into the box.
