@carrol_genie_ It’s really good. Tastes like teriyaki sauce - Hawaiian style. I’d consider it one of the best tasting among any teriyaki style sauces you can get in an American Grocery store.

@TheEXECUTlONER_ I helped my Dad roof our house in CA when I was a teenager. It was awful. Removing 2 layers of old shingles and collecting/dumping them into the rented dumpster was the hardest part, by far. I'd never do this in TX, my roof has a much steeper angle. Definitely would fall off.
English

This woman couldn’t afford the price she was quoted for a new roof.
So…..she did it herself.
If you read the shingles package, it literally tells you how to install the underlayment & shingles on a roof.
Nothing more motivating than saving a LARGE amount of money.
Would you ever attempt this? 🤔
That is some tough labor.👏💯

Agreed, sir!
This young lady had a Plan B in her car. Her boyfriend found it.
They were in having sex, correction, he wasn’t having sex she was!
When she said wait, let’s just talk about it😬 luckily he was recording!

@seedyoulater Really difficult to get here in TX - but in Japan you can grab it at just about any BIC Camera.

English

@TheOpenWebJP1 @end3of6days9 Probably - that was in an expensive area of Osaka. Some of the nicer hotels have something similar at breakfast. In general though, any fruit, especially strawberries are super high quality in Japan (but $$$)
English

@ObviousDick @end3of6days9 They were actually 350 yen in my area. Seem to be more expensive in cities.

This girl sees Tropicana on sale for $4.99 and thinks “I can beat that.”
She grabs two bags of oranges for $4.98, pulls out the manual juicer, and starts sweet-talking the fruit like “please don’t let me down” 😂
Ends up with almost the exact same amount of juice… but way better taste.
I’m sure fresh-squeezed OJ tastes better, but would you really go through all that trouble just to save a penny? 😭
English

@retiredxoogster @end3of6days9 See the oranges in the machine - they are mechanically sliced and squeezed when bought.
English

@ObviousDick @end3of6days9 Fresh orange juice is wank if you don’t finish it in 30 seconds

@DudespostingWs 1. Is that someone's pet wolf? and 2. Is that an electric fence?

@officer_Lew School zones in DFW are strictly enforced. Anyone who lives here knows this, and knows that more often than not, there will be a police w/radar in the area. Not sure why she is upset, this is a fact of life here. (easy to miss if you are unfamiliar with the area/miss a sign)

JUST IN🚨: Hurst PD just dropped the FULL bodycam footage exposing the entitled North Texas driver who turned a simple school zone ticket into a full meltdown arrest!
Woman gets pulled over for blasting 40 mph in a 25 mph school zone.
Officer calmly hands her the ticket... she straight-up YEETS it out the window like it's trash 😭
Refuses to exit, demands a supervisor, rolls up window → officers pull her out, she hits the ground.
Now she's crying excessive force... but the bodycam tells the real story.

@DesireeAmerica4 There’s a lesson to be learned here — don’t post your thoughts on social media. #1 Because no one cares and #2 may arrested and lose your job.
Perhaps she can still pursue nursing, and hopefully she doesn’t start doing TikTok dances w/hospice patients dying in the background.

EVER WONDER WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TEACHER ARRESTED BY SNAPCHAT'S AI?
Because she jokingly typed the word "shoot" in a private snap to a friend, Snapchat flagged her account and sent the message directly to the FBI. The FBI then had a local sheriff's Deputy show up at her school.
Well, here is what eventually happened.
She was physically pulled out of her elementary school and taken straight to the Tazewell County Jail, where she was officially booked for disorderly conduct.
After interrogating her, the deputies actually admitted on the record that she made the comment purely out of "exasperation." They confirmed she had absolutely zero intent to harm anyone and was never a threat to the school.
But even though the cops admitted she wasn't a danger and no formal charges were ever filed, her career still took a massive hit. The school district superintendent sent a letter to parents terminating her entirely, stating she would not be allowed to return to finish her assignment.
If a regular person ruined someone's career with a false police report, they would be sued into oblivion. So when exactly does Snapchat get held accountable for this? 🤷🏼♀️

@S2Steercos So… this is like paying for someone to yell at you? I have that at home, it’s called a wife. Though, I can’t say I feel
alpha getting yelled at bc I left the dish rag laying in the sink instead of hanging it up so it dries.

@Grand_handsomer @grok what is the mark up on a typical steak at a decent restaurant.

You fucking barbecue simps are the worst people on the planet earth. In no reality is brisket worth 36 dollars per pound and I hope you hipster locusts don’t stumble across anymore economical cuts of beef to ruin
Cary Kelly@CaryKelly11
This is one serious brisket operation. It's amazing to me how smoking at low temps can turn an incredibly tough piece of meat that runs $5 per pound, into the pinnacle of culinary excellence & cost $36 per pound. And it's so worth it. Source: texicanabbqconsulting (IG)

I just googled LV gambling revenue and AI said it hit a record $8.8B in 2025 (no idea if this is correct). That said, I’m going to guess a key cause of rising costs is due to corporate consolidation and buyouts — adding huge debt to balance sheets in hopes of monopolizing strip hotels with the goal of extracting the maximum amt of revenue from every visitor.
To your point, perhaps this could have been sustainable if there were no other options for those who like to gamble.
English

The gambling revenue subsidized all the other costs. The gambling is what allowed the resort to offer everything so cheap.
When the gambling revenue began to decline -- it began with legalized gambling and Indian casinos all over the country -- the resorts were no longer able to finance gimmes and discounts like they could in the past.
So those resorts that were expensive to build became expensive to operate too.
ATX Classical Liberal@libertyinatx
@shipwreckedcrew It’s gotten expensive as well, and hotels are charging “resort fees” and exorbitant prices for drinks and food items. Where it used to be a bargain, it no longer is, and must compete with many other vacation opportunities.
English

@SeverusChud Isn’t this story as old as civilization? Parents want the best for their kids - and kids resent them for this at some point. Add more years (and children of her own) and I bet she looks back at this point in her life differently.

Alysa Liu says she doesn’t think her dad deserves to be happy about her skating return “ I’m almost mad that he was happy “
English

@lowcortisol She’s an ice skater - she doesn’t need, nor do I expect, nuanced political/cultural views. Tell me about your skating and journey to winning gold at the Olympics - but since it’s Rolling Stone, that’s not what is important.

@WTSmith17 Debate points aside - arguing about/defining racism with a ginger white dude - I mean, really? Plus he’s so emotional - is the optics here odd to anyone else?
English

After yesterday‘s debate, Brian Shapiro arranged for me to meet with the NAACP, “because I need to be educated about racism.” You can watch the entire debate, but it feels like an hour long HR meeting. He claims Steven Crowder is racist, but fails to provide any evidence.
I would be happy to meet with the NAACP as long as it is recorded

Probably in the minority here, but I always liked women with interesting careers. I dated a lot in my 30s, and I was very secure financially - a woman in a similar position was ideal. It would always scare me away if a girl latched onto me and seemed like she was trying to depend on me financially - though TBH it depends on the woman. Sometimes it seemed to be worth the risk… and unless I’m in my early 20s, 19 would be too young).
English

@Geniustechw So in that sense - not sure of the situation that led up to this video or where it was filmed. Side note - we just got a new dog at the shelter - and 80% of the dogs there were pit bulls. Likelihood of the breed having the worse owners is very high.
English

We had a Great Dane who got attacked at a dog park. After that our Dane became very aggressive towards other dogs in the open. Never brought her back to a dog park. However, just walking her, it was a problem when people didn’t have their dogs on a leash where they should have. We’d have to yell to tell people to keep their unleashed dogs away and work to keep her under control.

@KrisVectors @reddit_lies A “mental defective.” That phrase is getting registered into my vocabulary.
