almost finished with my research for my upcoming sicilly trip. This is the work behind the photographs nobody sees. Interestingly, AI is of little help here when it comes to research. Apart from a few well-known spots that can be found on Google, it's almost all manually crossed-researching, map comparisons, and sometimes even almost geographical forensics. It's simply a hidden world that only freaks like me are interested in. 😁 I highlight this aspect of my work not because I think it is underappreciated, but because I am proud of it. photography isn't just a button click. The urbex scene today no longer has a code of conduct, and locations are wildly exchanged among each other rather than discovered. That's why I'm no longer a part of it. I want to go the extra mile to find places and motifs that are extraordinary and not just copy photographs of others.
