The thing that I keep thinking about is: If the Senate is willing to withhold information from the American people about its own colleagues, how can we even trust them for a second when they say, “We don’t have the votes.” What else are they withholding?

Just got off the phone with Mitch McConnell, he told me to hang up first. To which I said, “no you hang up first”. To which he said, “no you” and then I said, “no you”. This went on for about 20 minutes until we finally agreed to hang up on three.

John Thune is now planning on drafting his own version of the NDAA, meaning he is ACTIVELY working to try to block the SAVE America Act. This will now have to be done in conference. A Manager’s Amendment from the Chairwoman of the Rules Committee can force this in once the Senate sends us their version.

You better believe every single Senator is going to be receiving tough questions personally from me, next week when they return, as to why both parties are allowing this to happen. This isn’t a nursing home, this isn’t a drug rehab facility, and this isn’t Social Security. If a sitting member of Congress is unable to serve their duty to the United States of America, then they must be removed. Senator McConnell’s not the only problem, Eleanor Holmes Norton, luckily a non-voting member of the house, still thinks from time to time she’s running for reelection. This needs to end.

The Audi has been confirmed to belong to a neighbor, and I’ve removed the videos. I don’t have a team to help verify details, so I sometimes rely on information provided by the public. In this instance, people identified the individual as someone who works on Capitol Hill. I later returned that evening and confirmed the vehicle was still parked on the street, just in a different location.

Mitch McConnell is a key vote in the United States Senate. At this point, we deserve to see proof of life from Mitch McConnell.

NEW: The Democrat Governor of Kentucky @AndyBeshearKY just sent a letter to Kentucky GOP Senator Mitch McConnell asking about the status of his health. The letter says, “Dear Senator McConnell: Over the last several weeks, Kentuckians have grown increasingly concerned about the current state of your health and wellbeing, and ability to hold office in the United States Senate. As Governor, I request that you fully update Kentuckians regarding the current status of your health. As public officeholders, we have made a commitment to our constituents to do our best to represent them and to always be transparent. I believe this requires clear communication about one's ability to serve. We wish you a safe and speedy recovery.”

Serious legal question… If congressional staff knowingly make false public statements about a senator’s ability to serve in office, could there be legal consequences? For example, if someone were knowingly misrepresenting a senator’s condition while the senator and staff continued to receive their salaries and exercise the powers of the office, could that constitute fraud or another offense? We’ve seen cases where people face criminal charges for concealing a relative’s death to continue collecting Social Security or other government benefits. Is there any comparable legal duty here, or is Congress treated differently? I’m genuinely asking because McConnell’s office has repeatedly declined to answer basic questions about his condition, and reporters are saying they’re only being referred back to an old statement instead of receiving current information.
