@ajk_pahari You’re a Suthanzai you’re not even a native. Second of all Pahari and Hindko are dialects of Panjabi language not ethnic groups. The mirpur you chimping at less than 100 years ago all identified as Panjabis until Pakistan gave you your Temu identity.

1941 Census of Jammu now AJK. The majority of the people in this province identified themselves as Panjabis. Jammu District, Mirpur District, and Kathua District all had over 80% Panjabi population, and the people in those areas called themselves and their identity as Panjabi.

To break this down for normgroids:
South Panjab : Has Significant Baloch/Siraiki population that was allowed to settle and given jagirs during Langah sultanate.
Has Significant Pashtun population with Niazi tribe and it's subclans that were given refuge during Gakkhar rule from Suri Army.
Rest of Panjab : Has Numerous groups claiming ancestry from Arabs and Turks like Qureshis, Gillanis, Alvis, Siddiquis, Barlas Mughals, Tarkhans, Qutabshahi larpers etc.
So although the original Panjabi population is made up of native races like Rajputs, Jatts, Gujjars, Awans, Arains, Khokhars, Gakkhars and many artisan castes. This represents the reality of modern day Panjab demographics very well while trying to be inclusive.
