It is literally DEAD bruh. There is no genre I can think of that is as ignored as the stealth genre. And no I’m not talking about just any game with stealth. I mean traditional stealth authored games like thief or splintercell CT

@VeltisLeEvil I played Dishonored pure stealth recently and it scratches that itch, and didn't feel tacked on like the stealth in many games that give you those kind of options. Same with Deus Ex Human Revolution. Both are immersive sim but they make the stealth feel great. Old games I know

@VeltisLeEvil Gloomwood. It's HEAVILY inspired by Thief, with nearly identical stealth mechanics, including a gem that shows how visible you are. Alien Isolation is primarily horror, but has very good and nearly-mandatory stealth. It's just not in AAA games right now. Look at indie and AA.
