@EWErickson Socialism is a bit of a stretch but agree. Off the top of my head, 8 other previous winners could have played the course before and made a run. And who knows, they might next year seeing Rory’s success.

I have to disagree with Jon on this. Any golfer playing at the masters could have done the same and chose not to. He wanted to win the second time and did what he needed to do. Other golfers could have done the same. This sort of reeks of sports socialism to me. Because other golfers did not do it, even though they could have done it, we should penalize Rory.

A lot of the conversation around Rory McIlroy's "unfair advantage", especially from golf media, is completely missing the point... There's no reason there shouldn't be a cap on the amount of times golfers can play Augusta the month prior to The Masters, whether they're past champs or not. This ensures there isn't a blatant competitive disparity. Yes, golfers that qualify for the tournament can access the course the month prior, but everyone can't skip three straight tournaments* & fly private whenever they want to Augusta. *Again, this encourages top golfers to skip tournaments, devaluing those tournaments for broadcast partners, patrons, & sponsors. For example, if the cap is 3-4 practice rounds at Augusta the month prior to the tournament, consider them like timeouts. Use them or lose them. Problem solved. Debate over. Past champions still get their well-deserved perks, but they don't get a blatant unfair advantage.

Tinky community day was SO FREAKING FUN!!! I absolutely loved seeing this originally egg-exclusive cutie all over my map and being able to get good IVs for lil cup (lol) and GL 🥹🔥 only grinded 2 hours, then spent the last hour having beers in the park with my husband while my ++ did my dirty work 🤣

I just wish we had more time to evolve after cday. After playing for hours, it's a bit overwhelming and exhausting to have to go through the IVs hundreds of mon and decide what to evolve. I'm hungry!!! And tired!!!! 🤣 Why the rush???
Let us have til the end of the weekend. Or better yet, a whole week! Like we had a little while back when they gave us that cday timed research a few times. Why did they get rid of that??? Gives people a few days to trade for hundos which is nice!
Would also be nice for field research to rotate hourly during cday but 🥲
